Capcom has just released Title Update 3.2 for Dragon’s Dogma 2 and shared its full patch notes. So, let’s see what this new update brings to the table.
Patch 3.2 brings major performance optimizations on all platforms. It also adds some new settings on PC, and it removes the Denuvo anti-tamper tech.
The removal of Denuvo should not come as a surprise. After all, Capcom has removed it from a lot of its titles. For instance, in November 2025, it removed it from Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny. Monster Hunter Rise, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, and Resident Evil Village are also Denuvo-free as we speak. Similarly, Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 3 Remake no longer use it. In July 2025, the Japanese team also removed it from Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. Plus, Capcom has removed it from Resident Evil 4 Remake.
Capcom did not go into more details about the performance optimizations. However, according to some early reports, the patch can greatly improve performance on some PC systems. Not only that, but Capcom has lowered the game’s PC requirements. So, this isn’t a “placebo” patch.
Patch 3.2 also adds some new PC graphics settings. To be more precise, it adds Foliage Density to the Graphics section of the Options menu. It also adds settings for Terrain Quality, Ray Tracing GI Quality, Ray Tracing GI Shading Quality, and Swaying Grass Quality. We also get two new options that may improve CPU performance. These are CPU Saving Mode and NPC Culling.
For what it’s worth, I don’t think removing Denuvo is what improved the game’s performance. In most cases, a poor Denuvo setup causes stutters. It does not lower the average frame rate. There can be exceptions, but that is what we see most of the time. So, in my opinion, these gains are more likely due to engine optimizations.
Alongside these tech features, Update 3.2 comes with numerous balance tweaks and bug fixes. To avoid turning this article into a wall of text, I won’t be listing them. However, those interested can find its full patch notes here.
All in all, this is great news for those who wanted to replay Dragon’s Dogma 2. It took Capcom almost two years, but we are finally at a point where Dragon’s Dogma 2 can be enjoyed on a variety of PCs. So, better late than never.
As always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below, you can also find a video that showcases some of the performance improvements on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070Ti.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
