Skyrim 3D Landscapes mod features more than 90 high quality 3D models for trees, flowers and plants

Modder ‘mathy79’ has released a brand new graphics mod for the Special Edition of Skyrim that aims to overhaul its flora. The Skyrim 3D Landscapes mod comes with more than 90 custom made vegetation models of all types planted by hand around the lands.

What this ultimately means is that this pack features high quality 3D models for unique trees, unique plants, unique waterplants, unique flowers and Dirtcliff weeds.

Unfortunately, though, this mod is incompatible with the Enhanced Landscapes mod we reported yesterday (as well as with the Waterplants mod). On the other hand, the mod is compatible with all tree and flora mods and it’s created to run alongside the Skyrim 3D Trees and Plants.

According to the modder, this mod should not have any performance hit as most of the assets used are perfectly optimized for the SSE engine. Also, and even though some tree models are a bit on the high poly, they are planted sparingly where they wouldn’t affect the frame rates.

Those interested can download the mod from here, and comes in 1K, 2K and 4K versions. Moreover, the modder has also provided a Landscapes Groundcovers pack that includes 58 landscape textures. Below you can find some screenshots showcasing the new 3D models!

  1. This mod also goes great with the same author’s recently released Skyrim 3D Rocks plus the ‘Really Blended’ version of the magnificent Blended Roads.

I’m using its Landscapes Groundcovers textures add-on alongside Landscape Overhaul HD and Skyland – Landscape Overhaul. The author is intending to expand it to include snow/frozen/ice textures.

Still surprised that DSOG hasn’t yet highlighted the recently released ‘(SKSE64) Havok Fix’ mod for Skyrim SE.

    1. I have a feeling that John and the rest of the guys don’t actively check the modding status of Skyrim beyond what people probably inform them of or what pops up on their radar. With that said, they should since it’s such an important mod to get just about most major mods running properly.

      1. (SKSE64) Havok Fix just received further improvements in the latest update. I just voted it my ‘mod of the month’ on the Nexus. Works like a charm with SSE Engine Fixes and a G-Sync panel too. Courtesy of editing the simple to understand .ini file the physics and thus gameplay ‘feel’ also remain smooth when occasionally dipping below 60fps (I’m running a very heavily modified game). A truly glorious mod!

        1. Very nice. I have unfortunately never purchased the re-release though I probably should one day when it’s cheap enough to pick up. But that’s awesome that it’s capable of doing such things and also that it’s that easy to understand. Certainly helps with modding since you can put a boat load of mods on that damn game and still have it function quite nice and run well.

  2. Why does it need to redirect to nexus? This site is a total sh@t and all download is capped at 1mb/s
this mod has 60mb of size and it takes me 40minutes to download via nexus……
