S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will be powered by Unreal Engine 4

GSC GameWorld has announced that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will be using Unreal Engine 4. This information was first revealed by Epic Games, and GSC GameWorld has now officially announced it.

GSC GameWorld claimed that it will talk about platforms and digital stores for STALKER 2 at a later date. So yeah, it remains a mystery whether this will be an Epic Games Store exclusive or not.

From what we know so far, the main inspiration for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is the original trilogy (Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat) and its main feature will be its unique atmosphere. The developers aim to make a really atmospheric game, similar to what the original STALKER was when it came out.

The game will not feature any Battle Royale game. Furthermore, the team will be working on making modding tools so that modders can start creating new content when the game comes out.
