Russia 2055 is in pre-alpha stage, gets an official announcement trailer

Back in October 2018, we informed you about a new futuristic military indie first-person shooter powered by Unreal Engine 4, Russia 2055. Since that reveal, a lot of people began speculating about this being a secret Kojima game (similarly to what he did with Metal Gear Solid 5).

Today, the team behind it, InvictusVolition, has released a proper announcement trailer and revealed that the game is still in a pre-alpha stage. Not only that, but a free beta release will be coming to all those that follow its Twitter account.

InvictusVolition is basically a single developer and while there are some Metal Gear inspirations here, I’m pretty sure that this isn’t a new Kojima title. I mean, Kojima Pro has its hands full with Death Stranding and I’m pretty sure they won’t attempt to create anything other than that until it gets out. Not only that, but Death Stranding is using a completely different engine so yeah, most likely this Kojima-inspired game has nothing to do with Kojima.

Still, I have to say that InvictusVolition has done an incredible work here. Now since this is made by a single person, you should temper your expectations.

Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!
