The team behind the most promising Playstation 3 emulator, RPCS3, has released a new version of it. According to the release notes, this new version comes with various ARMv7 core improvements (for PSVita), adds Vulkan renderer, and sports big accuracy improvements and bugfixes.
We won’t be sharing any links for this emulator, however you can easily find it by googling “rpcs3 official site”. Do note that we won’t allow links to ROMs or PS3’s bios.

By the way, Its “looking” and Uncharted 4 has been the most delayed and downgraded game in the last 3 years, every new video showcase is looking worst. Maybe because the first showcase was running on PC but they knew that toaster you call console cant support those graphics.

Considering the fact that every single multiplatform game on PS4 has to be run at somewhere between low and medium PC settings so the outdated laptop hardware doesn’t choke, it’s a given that uncharted 4 wont be anywhere near the best looking game made. The in-game cinematics in Uncharted 4 have the distinct advantage of being rendered in a highly linear game with mostly scripted events, but even then they look worse than Crysis 3 for example. Or if you want to really make uncharted 4 look outdated, just compare it to the real-time in-game graphics seen in Star Citizen.

I am waiting for E3. I hope that MS will create the official Xbox 360 emulator for the PC (Windows Store). Red Dead Redemption in 1080p on the PC would be great.

Technically speaking they could since they got it working on xbox1 as an emulator. My question is how much would you pay for something like that? Also how would they protect thier ip, I imagine that they’d cripple it somehow so it would only work with 360 games bought from the windows store

From the notes it sounds like its a vita and ps3 emulator kind of like dolphin is multi system, if thats the case that would be cool.
Has anyone played with this? If so does have a good controller mapper? (Missing from wiiu emu) And are there any games that run and run well on it? I’d always assume we’d see an xbox360 emulator first due to ps3 having a very unique architecture and since we know its doable since xbox1 runs a software emulator that works for a good amount of 360 games

Do you know what the Low Level API is?
It require a Talented Coder + always need to be tweaked for architectures separately.
Eg. HitMan packs only patch to DX12 with some tweaks to Thaiti/Hawaii/Antigua arch. no Tweaks for Fiji yet (will come in time)
To fully optimise DX12 or Vulcan, games need to be writen from ground-Up for that API’s.

I wish the ePSX teams made a PS2 and PS3 emulator. Their first working builds would blow away the current, including any future versions, of other team’s emulators.
I have a ps4, xbox one and a good gaming pc. Still able to play rotr on max. I love pc as always, but i need console due to xclusives despite of the downgrades on uncharted 4. Only issue with the current console is theres way too many PAID remastered. So my take on this emulator, it doesnt matter hw long it takes for the emulator to be released. And it doesnt matter if demon souls or little big planet 1 is 100 years old! Becuz i still play my dos games to date. Only console gamers always look forward to new games and will discriminate old games on their exclusive consoles becuz they cant take the fact that pc gamers can now play their exclusives for free.
Let’s see, play a garbage emulator littered with bugs that can only play a handful of titles, or just buy a PS3 for only $200 and play whatever PS3 game I want with no problems? Hmmm, I’d get a PS3.
I don’t even think a PS3 would cost that much, hell you could get a second hand PS4 for much less than that. Some people don’t want a bunch of old consoles littered around their living room. It’s ironic that console fanboys talk about how a mini living room PC is too large for “their” living room yet are happy to have 4+ consoles laying around so they can play current gen and last gen games. I owned a Wii and now own a WiiU but even I like to play Wii games on my Dolphin emulator as I can play them down sampled from 4k to my native 2560x1440p resolution or even in 3D using NVIDIA 3D play TV so it’s not really about money and more about features, ease of use etc. I for example have over 30 years of gaming history all on one hard drive which is around over 400 games, can you imagine the space all those old consoles, arcade machines and games would take up?.

Yes the PS3 version was a complete joke and ran mostly at 30fps despite the fact it was designed to run at 60fps. I bought Bayonetta 1+2 for WiiU and I love them. 🙂 The 360 version of Bayonetta 1 is a lot better than the PS3 version.
