Ninja Theory and QLOC have released a new update for the Xbox Series S|X version of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice that adds Ray Tracing effects. And, according to the teams, the Ray Tracing update will also come on PC.
As Ninja Theory stated:
“An update for the PC version of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is currently in development. There are no plans to bring this update to any other platform at this time.”
Alongside the new Ray Tracing effects, this update packs upgraded materials, particles and LOD.
There is currently no ETA on when the PC patch will come out. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted!

This is unexpected.
I was going to replay it in anticipation of the 2nd one anyway.
Should I play it in HDR on Series X with an LG OLED or wait for RTX (paired with a nice ultrawide at 144Hz and a 3090)?
Plug PC into TV, play with ray tracing and HDR?
Monitors are complete garbage next to an OLED, even moreso with HDR on it.
But OLED has it’s burn in issues. I’d have to replace an OLED every year.
You are completely clueless.
About what exactly? I use my PC for anywhere between 8-24 hours per day. OLED shows noticeable burn in on average after 2years of use 8hours per working day.
Why isn’t your PC connected to your OLED?
Also on Series S/X? https://mobile.twitter.com/NinjaTheory/status/1424743520074493955
You literally didn’t read the very 1st line in the article.
It’s great to see RT being added, but not so great that it will target console/RDNA2’s poor performance levels.
That’s better for PC players in the end. Low quality RT targetting consoles = better performance on PC with RT turned on.
Maybe for the PC peasants, but not for the PC user who is willing to pay for better quality games.
You can just scale the settings for PC lmao
it is actually great that they target the consoles, it means we’ll get smoother performance
Oh sweet! Ill def be picking this up when the pc patch drops
Hope the VR version also gets Ray Tracing and possibly DLSS support.

When your game promises raytracing and DLSS,
but your graphics card says PEASANT 🙂
