Impact Inked and Running with Scissors have revealed the official PC requirements for their Postal 2 Remake in Unity Engine, POSTAL 2 Redux. So, let’s see what PC system you’ll need to run this upcoming remake.
POSTAL 2 Redux aims to be a mix of old and new. It will take everything from the original game and move it into the Unity Engine. You’ll still play through the same crazy week as the POSTAL Dude, but now the game will look way better and will include fun new features and weapons.
The goal of this project is to make the best version of POSTAL 2 ever. POSTAL 2 Redux will work on all kinds of screens, have better graphics, new weapons, crazier physics, and lots of hidden surprises. And yes, you can still do your wild errands using a shovel if you want.
POSTAL 2 Redux will have high-res textures and dynamic lighting. The signs and gross puddles in Paradise will look sharper than ever. You’ll also be able to run across the whole town without any loading screens, elevators, or doors slowing you down.
Although there is no ETA on when the game will come out, the game’s Steam store page has revealed its PC requirements. The devs recommend using an Intel i5-4590 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290.
Now I don’t know whether or not these are preliminary PC requirements. After all, we don’t know when the game will come out. As such, Impact Inked may update them once we get closer to its release date. Still, these hint at a game that will run on a huge range of PC configurations.
The Steam page also has some screenshots from the remake. And, as you will see, it does not look particularly impressive. So, while it may look better than the original version, it won’t blow you away with its visuals. I’m just mentioning this as a lot may have hoped for better visuals than those we’ll be getting.
