New Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon game to be announced on May 9th

Ubisoft has announced that a new Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon project will be announced on May 9th. Ubisoft has also released a teaser trailer (which does not really show much about this new Ghost Recon game).

Now I don’t expect this to be a DLC for Wildlands (I don’t think we got such a tease for the Predator or the Splinter Cell events for Wildlands) so we are most likely looking at a spin-off or a brand new game in the Ghost Recon series. Wildlands 2 perhaps?

We’ll be sure to keep you posted so stay tuned for more!

  1. Cant fight the friction….or finish all those repetitive missions….they will beat you to submission. Take a look at the mirror, your game is boring and repetitive, EASE OFF… the goddamn open world formula.

  2. I’m all down for co-op but the mp components from Ubisoft are usually sh*t.

Get back to the GRAW roots or continue Future Soldier (just needs to be polished upon release).

      1. Yeah I enjoyed GR1 but the gameplay is too slow paced imo. Future Soldier attempted to mix the tactical parts of previous games with faster paced shooting.

The concept/ideas were good but the execution was sh*t (hence why I said it needed to be polished upon release). With the tech and knowledge that have now I think they can pull it off but that’s obviously wishful thinking lol

        1. I understood what you wanted to say, but i think GRFS is still a mess not only in execution but in conception too, it’s too fast paced for a tactical shooter, man even Gears of War is slower a let you oversee the battlefield better and do better tactics, especially with friends, you can do some tactical plans in stealth but once you’re in a firefight you can do nothing but cover/fire/die/wait for revive and repeat the same till all enemies die, Wildlands is still way better than GRFS despite all flaws it has.
GRAW on the other hand really miss polish and has potential, your point is way more relevant for thit one.

          1. Yeah GRFS really f*cked up during the shooting moments that’s for sure. But I did like its mechanics though (especially the ghost camo thing not gonna lie lol). I played on x360 (wasn’t into PC gaming at the time unfortunately) so I might actually revisit the game on PC.

GRAW is still my overall favorite though. Its mix of tactics and combat were really well done (even if some moments were pretty slow). I really do hope Ubi revisits one or the other and no OPEN WORLD sht. Jesus it’s so played out at this point.

  3. Let’s hope it’s an actual Ghost Recon game and not a multiplayer open world gimmick.
I also would like to see an actual Rainbow Six game.

    1. I wish they’d take it back to the more authentic, tactical, single player games when Red Storm was making them. Ubish!t dumbing them down and focusing on multiplayer is totally ruining the series.

    1. You can only release mobile games with main titles other wise you’re going to have a shitstorm on you’re hands. Don’t you have phones 😀 😀

  4. Well, considering how Ubi has gotten into bed with Epic, I couldn’t really bring myself to care about anything they’ll release in the future going forward.

  5. I am divided here. For one it is great to see that Tom Clancy is still making games. But could it be that Ubisoft may be pushing him to work to death and beyond? hmmmm….

    1. Tom, Clancy died in 2013. He isn’t now nor was he ever at any point “making games.” He was an author who wrote extremely dull, verbose political military thriller novels. Clear and Present Danger, Rainbow Six, Hunt for Red October, Sum of All Fears, Patriot Games, Splinter Cell, Jack Ryan for example.

Ubicrap bought the rights to all his work in 2008 and started pumping out crap games.

Yes I realize now you were trying to be clever but you were still wrong.

  6. If it’s another multiplayer / online BS with no single-player campaign then it’s a nope for me. Miss me with that gay s hit.
Also, it will probably be an Epic exclusive, so, nothing of value has been lost.

  7. Right, because the last one was so memorable, I’ll almost give a crap that this thing even exists.

It still irks me to no end, that they even put the “Ghost Recon” name on this mindless garbage.

  8. Another game as a service crap, what i would not give for a new splinter cell similar to chaos theory with Michael Ironside voicing Sam

      1. the same here man, Ubi was one of the best in the past, but not now f*k Ubi and it’s multibull$hit online garbage that no one ask for.

  9. Hey guys look it’s a new Ubisoft game…
Guess what, pretty sure it’s another Multiplayer always online bull$#it.

  10. How about we can made a pretty woman character in your Character Creation menu this time? because as far as i play wildlands, far cry 5 and new dawn…i can only get sjw type character face…and thats lame

  11. Stop.

Clancy is long dead. Any resemblance these games had to his work is long dead. The audience is gone. The last TC game that was actually good was Rainbow Six. The real one. Red Storm. I’ll accept Ghost Recon 1 but nothing newer.

That’s not even mentioning that the last half playable GR game was what? Ghost Recon AW 1 ? Remember how Future Soldier fell flat on its face literally within 10 minutes of release? Yea. Stop.

  12. Seriously can anyone even name the last good Ubisoft game that came out? I liked Origins and Odyssey but I’m not going to call them good. Far Cry 5 was vapid directionless garbage. I never played WD2 and the 1 hour I played of WD1 was lackluster. Never bothered with Division or For Honor or R6 siege either. FC3? Child of Light doesn’t count.

      1. The open ended way you could just kill whatever lieutenant you wanted in whatever order and the way it just yanked you o ut of the game and forced you into story was terrible.

One time I was parachuting from a plane for like 2 minutes near the big sign in the mountain and then the second I landed, it teleported me into a jail cell with john. Another time, a bunch of hunter squads came after me and I was on a roof and I murdered everyone – not a single enemy in sight – and then out of nowhere it teleported me to a jail cell.

The narrative and the way the villain was presented was just inconsistent garbage.
