New Darksiders game to be revealed at E3 2019, will take the franchise in a fresh direction

It appears that a new Darksiders game will be revealed at E3 2019. E3 Coliseum has revealed that a discussion about the inception of the Darksiders universe and where it’s headed next will be held on June 13th, Thursday, that will coincide with the E3 2019 unveil of a brand new Darksiders game.

As the description reads for this upcoming discussion.

“A discussion about the inception of the Darksiders universe and where it’s headed next. This panel will coincide with the E3 2019 unveil of a brand new Darksiders game that takes the franchise in a fresh direction. This is a panel discussion about the art and business of creating and maintaining an action adventure franchise rich in-game and corporate lore.”

Back in February 2019, THQ Nordic announced that Darksiders 3 had broken even and performed within expectations, meaning that a new Darksiders game would make perfect sense (business-wise).

It’s also worth pointing out that THQ Nordic has 48 unannounced games under development, and we expect the publisher to reveal some of the during this year’s E3 event.

From what we know so far, Dead Island 2 is still alive and under development and a new Red Faction game may be under development.

Stay tuned for more!

    1. I hope to god not man. Sick and tired of Third-Person games getting turned into FPS. We already have a Darksiders FPS, it’s called Shadow warrior and that is already a very excellent game.

  1. I am worried about ” a fresh direction” what is that supposed to mean? usually a bad thing right. Personally I loved both 1 and 2(loot and ARPGs are my jam). Having said that I don’t understand why they change anything from the 1st game in the first place.

As a fan of the series all I can say is please don’t mess this up, if they go FPS cause of Strife that would be pretty stupid. The sad thing is I think going FPS is the least of our worries of what could happen 🙁

Why can’t they just say “we are going back to our roots” then I would be hyped out of my mind. Will see I guess, please be good.

  2. TF you talking about fresh direction? There’s one horsemang left. Do the last horsemang and conclude the story, the end. Not that hard. Strife, the end. Don’t make it an FPS, none of that BS.

  3. Each game has taken “fresh directions” I guess so that’s fine. As long as it isn’t a “non-3rd person, non-Strife-related” direction.
