Mortal Kombat XL mod enables 60fps for X-Ray moves, Fatalities and cut-scenes

Yesterday, we shared a mod for Mortal Kombat 11 that removes the ridiculous 30fps lock from the Fatal Blows, Fatalities, The Krypt and cut-scenes. And today, I’m happy to present you a similar mod for the previous MK title, Mortal Kombat XL.

As the title suggests, this mod for Mortal Kombat XL – created by The Game Modding Channel – removes the 30fps lock and allows players to enjoy all the X-Ray moves, fatalities and cut-scenes in 60fps.

Furthermore, this mod allows you to play as all NPCs and final boss, meaning that you can play as Corrupted Shinnok, without having to swap any files.

Thanks to these mods, all of the Mortal Kombat games now run constantly with 60fps on the PC platform (which is basically how these fighting games should had been from the get-go). So far we haven’t heard anyone being banned for using the MK11 60fps mod, so we strongly suggest using them in order to avoid the ridiculous 30fps sequences/animations.

Those interested can download the Mortal Kombat XL 60fps mod from here, and below you can find a video showing the mod in action.

Have fun!

  1. Very nice. Thanks for the heads-up.

Also, Mortal Kombat 11 retail sales are reportedly down 44% in the UK compared to Mortal Kombat X.

    1. Retail sales of all games are down especially in the UK. Digital sales are growing much faster than previously anticipated.

      MK X all-time peak on Steam = 15,743
      MK 11 all-time peak on Steam = 35,147

      1. Not by a whopping 44% though.

Also, MK11 launched on four platforms whereas MK10 only launched on three.

        1. Sorry to burst your bubble Bub , but you clearly have no idea how famous MK games are, they are not getting broke lmao

          1. Sorry to burst your bubble, person with racist username, but you evidently have issues with your reading comprehension. LMAO.

          2. Desperately wanting a game to fail because it had a black dude ending slavery in one of its ending and calling that WOKE and political
yet assumes I’m racist because he wanted to see the my name in that light
sure you care about racism m8 lul

        2. PC is 0% of Retail sales. So its 3 vs 2. But that not mean anything if the sales have shifted more towards digital on consoles.

Another factor to consider is that MK X was the sequel to the universally praised MK 9 while MK 11 is the sequel to the polarizing MK X.

But there could also be some people who are turned off by NetherRealms’ overdosing of SJW juice and WB’s enforcement of a grindy mobile economy in a full priced game.

          1. “if the sales have shifted more towards digital”

Again, not by a whopping 44% though.

          2. Why not?

PC game sales are pretty much close to 100% Digital at this point and has been for quite a while now. So why cannot console game sales shift more towards digital in the last 4 years since MK X came out. GameStop is dying, lots of Retail Game Stores in the UK have gone under. 100% Digital is an inevitability and is coming faster than most people realize.

      1. Nope, none of them run/ran 60fps. That x-ray garbage was always a pre-recorded/rendered video. I don’t know why they put that rubbish in the game. It’s such an immersion breaker.
