Metro 2033 is a story of intensive underground survival where the fate of mankind rests in your hands. You play as Artyom who was born in the last days before the fire, but raised Underground. In this first person shooter, players will explore the desolate city-surface, trusting their gas mask and rifle to protect them from a poisoned world and the creatures that roam there.
Metro 2033 was originally released in 2010 and featured full DX10 and NVIDIA PhysX support for high-end gaming PCs in order to deliver incredible visuals. Deep Silver released a Redux version in 2014, however some gamers preferred the original visuals of the first version.

I also feel this way. Redux felt more “consoly” idk…
when i played the original enemies didnt take any damage when they were displayed their injury animation, bulletspongy enemies, too many enemy spawns, that horrible part with the amebas, one level crashed i had to use a savegame or a console comand, run like trash, yeah know the original is trash

The Redux version is even better.

If for whatever reason you haven’t played this yet now you ABSOLUTELY have to.
PSA: Play on Ranger or Ranger Hardcore with Russian VA + whatever subtitle language you prefer. I’m not saying it’s the correct way to but sure it’s the best way to play it.
Had the game since it launched. I like it a lot more than the Redux version.
