      1. If you have Origin Access you can try out NFS for 10 hours. That should give you plenty of time to try it out for extremely cheap. It will be launching on origin access soon.

  1. probably wont buy it since its online only, knowing EA, they might pull the plug on the servers anytime they want, so no thanks.

    1. Two different types of racing games. Apex doesn’t appeal to me yet NFS does. Apex doesn’t even have a release date

    1. That was definitely a low point but I think the series started to falter at The Run (I originally said Rivals).

      1. Indeed, the run, rivals were not so good. Hotpursuit 2010 was a good one imo. Will try the new one. I’ll see for myself before hating.

      2. Hot Pursuit 2010 was good, hence I said “after”, Still, the high point for the Need for Speed franchise was between Hot Pursuit 2 (2002) and Carbon. Those games were awesome.

        1. You’re right I confuse Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted. Most Wanted (2013) was the low point of the series.

    2. It went down the drain many, many years ago. Basically, pick any NFS game which came out more than 10 years ago and you will have a better game.

  2. With that kind of “features” such as manual transmission and 60 fps, they should also add to the list something like “keyboard support”, “mouse support”, or “ability to launch and quit game”.

        1. While everybody understands what you just said, and will most likely do that, the point was that if EA shuts the servers down you can’t play your game (that you paid 60$).

          1. There’s a play alone option and ea wouldn’t just turn off the servers and not get the dev to completely patch out the all online features

          2. Many games have suffered this fate from EA. Just sayin. I hope they do what you said though.

          3. Not now, but another 10 years? I don’t see the servers of this game being online for that long. By that time, the next gen consoles will be out in the wild. I guess the same could be said for all purchase u make on online only MP games, or mobile games.

  3. Ultra 60+ FPS here i come
    my GTX 970 its ready
i just hope i will push ultra high 1440p 60+ but i am sure i will like in battlefront

    1. They went completely overboard with all the post FX you’ve come to hate with the passion of 1,000 burning suns.

    2. I like the style. Games like Battlefield 4 tried to get rid of the personal graphics effects and it just looks more awkward than BF3.

  4. Not interested personally, but I’m glad they delayed it to get the frame rate sorted. Rivals was an absolute abortion, but at least they learned from it.

    1. everybody was saying we dont want 30fps on PC back when Rivel came out and even more when they announced this NFS so they didn’t learn from Rival, they learned it from PC games who complained about 30fps lock but still they delayed the game only one month before launch.

  5. Good Lord…..manual transmission and unlocked FPS are features in the modern era of gaming. And they should remove that hideous crash camera….FFFFFSSSSSSSSS

  6. On march 1st 2016 all the remaining servers of DarkSpore were shutdown and you no longer can play your 60$ single player game anymore. happened to tons of other EA games before and will happen to NFS.

    1. Yeah and especially since Battlefront on PC is doing so poorly, I won’t be buying another online EA based game ever again tbh, all those games have a few years worth of life in them and they ask for high premium prices, it’s factually not worth it.

      1. see Danial’s post below, they are 50 games + all of their old IOS games + BattleForge and all of their F2P titles. don’t worry, you will see more single player (online) games from them and companies like MS to go down in years to come. not to mention many studios closed down by EA.

  7. Clearly not worth 60$ (euros in my country) for a game which came half an year (if I’m not wrong) earlier for the consoles. Somewhere at 30$ / euros would be the max launch price I would pay for this always-online crap. Didn’t watch Youtube videos because I wanted to buy it, but now… not really. The graphics menu looks really poor and I am 70% sure the optimization is not the best. So, I am waiting for a sale on some of the local stores to get it for a better price.

  8. Been playing this on the trials program. So far I’m loving it, performance is excellent, on par w/ BF4 my sli 980’s are eating it up on max and the game looks great a definite step beyond Rivals.
The game itself has a real NFSU vibe going on which is a plus for me as that and Midnight Club where two of my favorite racing franchises.

  9. I can’t speak to all of those games on that list, but can say that quite a few are still playable. Crysis,Crysis 2, Crysis Wars, Battlefront 2, Battlefield 2 Command and Conquer 3 are all still definitely playable those are just the ones I own. Not saying that I’m whitewashing what they are doing, just stating a fact
