Spiders Studio and Focus Home Interactive have announced that GreedFall has sold over one million copies worldwide. As the press release reads, and following its launch in September last year, the game stormed into players’ hearts and minds, marking itself as a memorable RPG.
Jehanne Rousseau, founder and CEO of Spiders, said:
“Our team gave a lot of themselves in this creation. We are really delighted and proud to see that the universe, the characters and the experiences we have created have been able to please so many players around the world. This success gives us even more desire to continue to make them dream and travel.”
As we’ve reported, GreedFall is mostly a GPU-bound game, and requires a powerful GPU even for gaming at 1080p/Ultra settings. Additionally, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080Ti cannot run the game in 4K/Ultra with 60fps. Furthermore, the game’s visuals do not justify its high GPU requirements.
Thankfully, GreedFall’s gameplay is better than its tech. However, we’re wondering whether Spiders will be able to further optimize its games. After all, the team is currently working on a next-gen game, called SteelRising.
It’s also worth noting that the game has Mostly/Very Positive Reviews on Steam.

if games like this are profitable at one million sales, then thats a good thing.
have you played it? is it any good?
razorfirst liked it alot. So i guess go watch his review?
i’m never wasting my time by watching a nerd talk about video games.
well he is not a nerd. He is a metalhead
don’t know about the story but the player movement animations seriously feels so clunky while controlling the player running moving around, i think i have played around 1 & half hr then refunded got bored becuase of the movement & can’t play the whole game like that
Its nice to see this game selling well, finished the game already and it was worth it, the story is okay but the gameplay brings back memory from dragon age games…..
This is well deserved.
