DiRT Rally – Latest Update Brings New Cars & Handling Updates

Codemasters announced that from today owners of DiRT Rally can drive some of modern rallying’s most iconic vehicles as the Modern Masters update joins DiRT Rally, free to all Early Access players.

As the press release reads, Modern Masters sees the introduction of two of the most influential rally cars in the last decade to the 2000s class: The Citroën C4 Rally 2010 and the Ford Focus RS Rally 2007. At their peak, these cars reigned supreme with their 2 litre turbo charged engines and highly sophisticated differentials.

This pack also sees the introduction of the R4 class to DiRT Rally. Featuring the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X and the Subaru Impreza WRX STI 2011, this class represents cars from two of the most iconic manufacturers in modern rallying.

In addition, as part of Codemasters continued commitment to Early Access the Modern Masters pack sees the Group B 4WD and Group A classes receiving the latest handling updates. The dev team has also been hard at work adding community requested features such as: stage distances & elevations, manual headlights & windscreen wipers as well as fixing a number of known issues.

Since its release on Steam Early Access in April, Dirt Rally’s dedicated players have clocked up over 72 million kilometres, raced 2.4 million clean stages and performed nearly 1.8 million barrel rolls in their quest to join the world’s elite DiRT Rally players at the top of the leaderboards.

Enjoy!
