By the time they finish all the Patches.. They could of made a whole new game.
You mean “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – Director’s Cut”? 😛
LOL good call. This ^^ is gonna happen.
Which is exactly what I’m waiting for =P.
KEEP WAITING LOL STORE MASTURBATE RACE
Why is patches capitalized?
Already beat and uninstalled it, but maybe someday if I go back to play the DLC.
Do the PC community really hate the entirety of the game due to poor performance with some settings maxed out? And the micro transactions?
The micro transaction probably plays a huge part in that.
Yeah I kind of get it but the thing is, it’s most likely the publisher to blame and not the developers. So a developer’s game is getting so much hate due a publisher wanting to force their micro transaction. I mean just look at the steam reviews, the actual reviews and not just the 6/10 rating. I read a few and most of them even admit the game itself is good or even great. When we get to the point that great games are still “bad”, I don’t know man, it’s a bit worrying.
Oh well said. Yea. Good points. I’m sure i’ll play it someday but not this year. I’ve come to a point where i wait 6-12months for games to become stable.
Sad.
PC COMMUNITY IS CANCER THESE DAYS
The micro-transactions, the complete lack of a cohesive story, the ridiculous price Square Enix is asking for this, the inclusion of the intrusive, controversial Denuvo DRM, the fact that Square Enix actually thought they could get away with launching a game THIS broken, the controversy with the “unlock extra pre-order bonuses” thing, bla bla bla, bla bla bla, bla bla bla.
Poor performance & micro-transactions are only two reasons why.
Too bad because the gameplay and level design is very good in this game. But the politics from Square Enix are pure sh*t!
sure.
New patch added full support for Multi-GPU API from DX12. Patch also support DirectX 12 Frame Pacing technology from AMD. Performance scaling is quite good: https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/8bbc91690aad514aa939acb6effecdce52db15e1568ac4e95b70eecd6e72d736.png

GIMME DAT MONEY MS
Details are on AMD site – Radeon
Quite good?
It is perfect, like 100% perfect perfect – as long as not bound by CPU perf. obviously.
This images are from AMD site: Radeon_com. We need wait few days for confirmation from standard sites such as GameGPU.
So PCPersp is not standard site? It is definitely more standard than GameGPU LOL.
They benchmark it and in 1440p they got 100% increase and with frame pacing which is amazing.
Only 100%? Pfft
WHO CARES I WILL BUY IT ON XBOX
Explicit LDA, like every other mGPU-supporting DX12 game (AoTS also supports explicit unlinked).
Why would you advocate SFR in a highly demanding game like this? SFR has worse performance scaling than AFR. See that RX 480 bench up there? You don’t get that linear scaling if it were SFR.
Plus I hate how when I take screenshots or record a game running in SFR, more often than not half the screen is completely black.
If you’re talking about frame times, FCAT testing of BF4 Mantle showed CrossFire being just as good as single GPU in that department. Low-level APIs give devs the ability to provide high mGPU performance while avoiding the pitfalls of driver-side mGPU. I’ve fixed SLI in enough games to know how hacky the old way of doing mGPU is by nature.
Parallelism simply isn’t as high with SFR due to imperfect load balancing. Look at Civ:BE running DX11 AFR vs. Mantle SFR for instance. Even at 4K (which is GPU-bound), Mantle scales about half as well as DX11.
if high scaling with SFR can really be done i think most developer will use it by now.
Neo and Scorpio aren’t dual-GPU.
Digital Foundry never said PS4 Pro is dual-GPU. They said it has the ability to turn off half its shaders and underclock to 800MHz when running in base PS4 mode to maintain compatibility. The GPUs in PS4 and PS4 Pro are 3 GCN generations apart. PS4 has a Pitcairn chip with 2 CUs disabled, PS4 Pro has a fully enabled Polaris 10 die.
Jesus H. Christ, can you think logically for a minute instead of simply regurgitating whatever is fed by the media? It uses an AMD APU (or SoC if you will), meaning the Jaguar CPU cores and GCN GPU cores and memory controllers are on the SAME DIE. It can’t possibly be dual-GPU if there’s only one chip. As a self-titled “AMD Aficionado”, you should know this.
if AMD really pushing for SFR we would see more result or at least they would show us demo showing how SFR can be as good as AFR in scaling. show the actual result first and i will believe that SFR is the future.
and yes AMD also talking about “mixing VRAM” with DX12 multi gpu. i want to see that as well. they have been saying that even before DX12 comes out and i have yet to see a real example of how it is done yet.
they choose SFR (which have poor scaling) because their game are not demanding. but in most games will you want to see that poor scaling? that poor scaling making the investment for the second card does not worth the cost and any other issues related to multi gpu. forget about slight lower than 70% scaling in anandtech test for CIV:BE at 1080p the average only improve slightly while the minimum only scale around 30%+. that’s why many dev that using DX12 multi gpu still end up choosing AFR. even Oxide dev which have very close relation with AMD (they work with AMD since Mantle) still choosing AFR for their multi gpu implementation in AoS. AFR might have twice the latency of SFR but does the latency in AFR can be felt clearly by end user or is it completely negligible?
i know they were experimenting with lots of stuff. but some of them (like the mixing gpu stuff) they still relying on AFR for scaling reason.
“Can AFR latency be felt by the gamer? I’d say yes.”
have you ever dealing with multi gpu yourself?
they scale poorly. that’s why between SFR and AFR gpu maker end up choosing AFR and then they try to iron out the issues with AFR. just look the scaling on CIV BE using SFR in mantle. that shows how developer/gpu maker still cannot solve the scaling issue on SFR.
LOL THESE PC GAMERS ARE SO WHINNY ALWAYS WHINING ABOUT GAME INSTEAD OF ENJOYIN
OH WAIT BROKEN PORT LOL
Thanks.
I can’t say that I agree with DXIW being weaker than DXMD but aside from that I can say I concur.
…I’m concerned about a Directors’ Cut fixing the problems though as I remember how horribly, compared to the original game, the Director’s Cut ran on PC.
Good point, though IMO Mankind Divided is so f*cked up right now, I’d say most people would willingly take a performance-troubled Director’s Cut over the “Theatrical Cut” any day.
All of these updates 3 months after I finished the game.
What a joke, the game came out months ago, and they will improve performance now? Square Enix l2how to finish games b4 you release them.
I honestly just don’t agree man, at least not entirely. I agree that the game was perhaps rushed and that the ending could have been better (never played the game yet but most seem to say the ending is terrible) but when it comes to the product as a whole, I just can’t agree that it’s a broken game. Broken games should be what it means.Broken. A game shouldn’t be deemed broken when all it takes for acceptable performance is to lower a setting or two. Just ask yourself man, what is lowering that ONE setting gonna do? How will that ruin your enjoyment of the game? Because as far as I understand, the game runs fine assuming you lower the MSAA.
I agree about the micro transactions but I’m still in a grey area about it. On one hand, I hate the fact that the a dev’s work is being criticized due to publisher’s greed but at the same time, I understand that it sends a message to publishers.
“Broken” not performance-wise, just generally, though I suppose you’re right, “incomplete” would be a better word, since technically that’s really what this is; incomplete.
After all, something needs to be finished before it can be broken, which this most obviously is not, so it can’t, in fact, be broken.
