Kojima Productions has released a brand new update for the PC version of Death Stranding. According to the release notes, the September 24th Update introduces DLSS 2.1 to the game, as well as its Ultra Performance Mode.
What this means is that PC gamers can use this Ultra Performance Mode in order to run the game in higher resolutions than 4K. Furthermore, owners of mid-tier RTX GPUs can use this mode in order to further improve overall performance in 4K (or in lower resolutions). However, do note that the game will be rendered at a really low resolution. As such, you will get additional artifacts and aliasing.
Alongside the DLSS 2.1 Ultra Performance Mode, this latest update improves overall game stability. Additionally, it adds Achievement Display Support for Epic Games Store.
As always, Steam and Epic Games Store will download this patch the next time you launch their clients. Below you can also find its complete changelog.

Epic, make piracy great again.
It must be sad to be filled with all that Epic rage all the time.
Hope nvidia adds an 1:1 mode ie allow dlss2+ to cut away the damn taa blur with more base data to make the image even better.
It already had pretty good performances to begin with. Such a good story, if you can forget the repetitiveness.
I’ll be honest, I played it the first time and had mixed feelings with the whole thing, I almost hated it. Few months later I played the game and literally did only main missions and focused on the story, DS minus the repetitiveness is an incredible game, i loved it and have so much respect for kojima.
Artifacts – yes, but aliasing – NO.
DLSS is first and foremost anti-aliasing technique and removes tons of aliasing that native rendering without AA has, even when rendering at lower resolution.
Even standard temporal upscaling does it (like the one in Unreal Engine) – it fixes aliasing issues despite lower res buffer, thanks to multi frame temporal accumulation of details.
