As promised, CD Projekt RED has released the first major update for Cyberpunk 2077. Patch 1.1 is 1.1GB in size (apparently the Steam patch is 5.4GB, which is way bigger than the GOG patch), addresses some stability issues, resolves a number of quests bugs, and is available for download on all major stores.
Going into more details, this update addresses the issue responsible for saves getting oversized , and trimmed the excess size from already existing saves. In addition, it resolves the game startup crashes related to loading cache on NVIDIA graphics cards. It also improves memory usage improvements in various systems within the game.
As always, Steam, GOG and EGS will download this update the next time you launch their clients. Below you can also find its complete changelog.

- Fixed an issue where completing one of the assaults in progress in Santo Domingo would sometimes not contribute towards progression for The Jungle achievement, preventing its completion.
Miscellaneous
- Addressed the issue responsible for saves getting oversized (related to the modifier indicating if the item is crafted), and trimmed the excess size from already existing saves (note: this won’t fix PC save files corrupted before 1.06 update).
- Fixed an issue where input could stop registering upon opening the weapon wheel and performing an action.
- Fixed an issue where the “Continue” button in the Main Menu could load an end game save.
PC-specific
- It will now be possible to obtain achievements while in Steam offline mode. Note: Offline mode needs to be enabled before starting the game. This change does not work retroactively.
- Addressed the game startup crashes related to loading cache on NVIDIA graphics cards.

Hmmm… I got a 5.4GB patch on steam today, and now the game doesn’t launch.

I was just about to say the update was 5.4 I hope it actually launches.
Verify integrity of game files, thats should fix it. At least if you are on steam
yeah I tried a couple times, I might have to just reinstall. If that doesn’t work then no big deal, I’m already finished.
8 hours later there is no patch for me on steam … did they taken it down ?
So their big 1.1 patch is a few minor bug fixes? Seems kinda pathetic.
maybe they wont admit how many bugs they fixed cuz it will be to long lol
“How are can one…”
LOLWUT?
This better be the first of many. This game needs a ton of polish :p
This was supposed to be one of the big patches but doesn’t actually fix many of the issues especially performance on base PS4 and Xbox One S.
PS4 and Xbox One S” who in their right mind still game on those trash consoles?
No no, you should say who in their right mind develops games on those trash consoles. And the answer is money.
I personally don’t think its going to get much better on those 2 consoles
I’ll be brutally honest here – Driving an open world on weak jaguar cores of the old consoles with low cache coupled with the wrong memory for code execution (ie high latency gddr made for fewer big payloads rather than low latency ddr made for many small quick transactions) only allow so much.
Personally i think CDPR grossly overestimated the hardware capability’s of the old consoles and thought they could optimize past that cpu weakness.
IMO – We all would have been better off without the old consoles in the 2077. PC and the new consoles have way more powerfull cpu’s and thus they wouldn’t have make so many painfully obvious compromises just to it running on the old consoles. Spawn in ai due to pathing would likely aten to much cpu to keep the frames near an already laughable low 30 for instance.
But then if you really think about it… How is CP any more complex or taxing for the CPU than the GTAs, Far Cry’s, Assassin’s Creed’s or every other complex open world games from the whole last gen?
It isn’t. At. All. It’s just the same or simpler.
Only the graphics are more taxing.
Well done!
Beep…Bzzz…Beep…
Too bad the game is a slog which is unfixable .V is so unlikable and unrelatable that killed my interest in this game.
2 little 2 l8. There are fundamental, core issues with the game that quite literally surmounts any of the “bugs” present.
That’s not to be addressed in the immediate term.
Same here.At least one more patch is need it to even consider reinstalling…
So is this now out of Alpha? Beta? how long till full release?
alpha 1.1

Can’t believe this was the big patch… it’s basically just 1.07
This patch should have fixed vehicle/npc ai, Police spawning, maybe even made more of the world interactive or got the train working. Seriously what in the f### happened to CD Projekt Red? LMFAO it’s like the company was sold off and bought by a completely different studio. What a way to flush their reputation down the drain. I was expecting so much more then a few mission bug fixes
“what in the f### happened to CD Projekt Red?”

Diversity and Skin Color more important then actual Skill in development
kjjj ??
Are you are a trumptard or you do you really think that these people were hired on solely on the basis of their skincolor/gender?
They were hired based on their gender/ skin color. There was a concerted effort at CD Projekt Red to ‘enhance diversity’.
yes this is why they did, did mass effect andromeda not teach you anything? They hire people who are in their cliques or because they are not white. This is how desperate these soyhipsters are for diversity. They are not giving scholarships to blacks solely for being black, not making this up. Vampire masquerade 2 bloodlines fired 3 veteran game devs all of them white men and replaced them with woketards. Tihs is why games suck now.
Thats ^f*****g libtards for you. An absolutely pathetic breed of close minded imbeciles that have no idea the damage they are doing to society. Trans Olympians, unisex bathrooms, Disney Star Wars, 9/10 games like Gone Home, Pedo Joe Biden …wake the f**k up ffs.
Urgh, VOMIT. “diversity” and “social justice” is cancer. We don’t need virtue signaling or “wokeness”, just f**king give us a good game!
On official forums and on reddit people say that 1.1 bricks their saves on a quest where Takemura is supposed to call you. He calls but then no dialog ensues, his icon is left hanging in the corner and you’re not able to do anything.
QA is in the $hitter at CDPR.
Yeah, soft locked as well. This only happens apparently if you have the specific quest where he is supposed to call you. Except you know … actually work
hello darkness my old friend.
You can play Cyberpunk 2077 as optimize as the Witcher 3 in 2022….with the complete content
Finally…
consoom goy, consoom your soy
driving in the city seems a little bit smoother . still lots of bugs
