Cyberpunk 2077 Update 1.1 released, is 1.1GB in size, full patch notes

As promised, CD Projekt RED has released the first major update for Cyberpunk 2077. Patch 1.1 is 1.1GB in size (apparently the Steam patch is 5.4GB, which is way bigger than the GOG patch), addresses some stability issues, resolves a number of quests bugs, and is available for download on all major stores.

Going into more details, this update addresses the issue responsible for saves getting oversized , and trimmed the excess size from already existing saves. In addition, it resolves the game startup crashes related to loading cache on NVIDIA graphics cards. It also improves memory usage improvements in various systems within the game.

As always, Steam, GOG and EGS will download this update the next time you launch their clients. Below you can also find its complete changelog.

Various stability improvements including:
  • Memory usage improvements in various systems within the game: characters, interactions, navigation, in-game videos (news, tv, etc.), foliage, laser effects, minimap, devices, AI, street traffic, environmental damage system, GPU-related, and more.
  • Various crash fixes (related to, among others, loading saves, game opening/closing and Point of No Return).
Quests/Open World
  • Fixed an issue where calls from Delamain would end immediately and seem like they cannot be picked up in Epistrophy.
  • Fixed an issue where players would not receive calls from Delamain when approaching relevant vehicles in Epistrophy.
  • Also fixed an issue where the objective could get stuck on “Answer the call from Mr. Hands” in M’ap Tann Pèlen.
  • Fixed an issue where Judy could teleport underground in Pyramid Song.
  • Fixed an issue where it would be impossible to talk to Zen Master in Poem of The Atoms.
  • Also fixed an issue where Takemura wouldn’t call in Down on the Street.
  • Fixed an issue where Jackie could disappear in The Pickup.

  • Also fixed an issue where players could stop receiving calls and messages after moving too far away from A Day In The Life area.
  • Fixed an issue where opening the package wouldn’t update Space Oddity.
  • Retro-fixed the saves affected by a rare issue where speaking to Judy in Automatic Love would be impossible due to an invisible wall. The underlying issue is under investigation.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from collecting the reward in Gig: Freedom of the Press. The quest will auto-complete for those who could not collect the reward previously, and the reward will be provided automatically.
  • Fixed an issue where Delamain would remain silent throughout Epistrophy if the player initially refused to help him.
UI
  • Fixed an issue where prompt for exiting braindance could be missing.
  • Removed an invalid item from loot.

  • Also fixed cars spawning incorrectly in Reported Crime: Welcome to Night City.
Achievements
  • Fixed an issue where completing one of the assaults in progress in Santo Domingo would sometimes not contribute towards progression for The Jungle achievement, preventing its completion.
Miscellaneous
  • Addressed the issue responsible for saves getting oversized (related to the modifier indicating if the item is crafted), and trimmed the excess size from already existing saves (note: this won’t fix PC save files corrupted before 1.06 update).
  • Fixed an issue where input could stop registering upon opening the weapon wheel and performing an action.
  • Fixed an issue where the “Continue” button in the Main Menu could load an end game save.
PC-specific
  • It will now be possible to obtain achievements while in Steam offline mode. Note: Offline mode needs to be enabled before starting the game. This change does not work retroactively.
  • Addressed the game startup crashes related to loading cache on NVIDIA graphics cards.

      1. yeah I tried a couple times, I might have to just reinstall. If that doesn’t work then no big deal, I’m already finished.

    1. I’ll be brutally honest here – Driving an open world on weak jaguar cores of the old consoles with low cache coupled with the wrong memory for code execution (ie high latency gddr made for fewer big payloads rather than low latency ddr made for many small quick transactions) only allow so much.

Personally i think CDPR grossly overestimated the hardware capability’s of the old consoles and thought they could optimize past that cpu weakness.

IMO – We all would have been better off without the old consoles in the 2077. PC and the new consoles have way more powerfull cpu’s and thus they wouldn’t have make so many painfully obvious compromises just to it running on the old consoles. Spawn in ai due to pathing would likely aten to much cpu to keep the frames near an already laughable low 30 for instance.

      1. But then if you really think about it… How is CP any more complex or taxing for the CPU than the GTAs, Far Cry’s, Assassin’s Creed’s or every other complex open world games from the whole last gen?

It isn’t. At. All. It’s just the same or simpler.
Only the graphics are more taxing.

  1. Too bad the game is a slog which is unfixable .V is so unlikable and unrelatable that killed my interest in this game.

  2. 2 little 2 l8. There are fundamental, core issues with the game that quite literally surmounts any of the “bugs” present.

  3. Can’t believe this was the big patch… it’s basically just 1.07
This patch should have fixed vehicle/npc ai, Police spawning, maybe even made more of the world interactive or got the train working. Seriously what in the f### happened to CD Projekt Red? LMFAO it’s like the company was sold off and bought by a completely different studio. What a way to flush their reputation down the drain. I was expecting so much more then a few mission bug fixes

      1. Are you are a trumptard or you do you really think that these people were hired on solely on the basis of their skincolor/gender?

        1. They were hired based on their gender/ skin color. There was a concerted effort at CD Projekt Red to ‘enhance diversity’.

        2. yes this is why they did, did mass effect andromeda not teach you anything? They hire people who are in their cliques or because they are not white. This is how desperate these soyhipsters are for diversity. They are not giving scholarships to blacks solely for being black, not making this up. Vampire masquerade 2 bloodlines fired 3 veteran game devs all of them white men and replaced them with woketards. Tihs is why games suck now.

        3. Thats ^f*****g libtards for you. An absolutely pathetic breed of close minded imbeciles that have no idea the damage they are doing to society. Trans Olympians, unisex bathrooms, Disney Star Wars, 9/10 games like Gone Home, Pedo Joe Biden …wake the f**k up ffs.

      2. Urgh, VOMIT. “diversity” and “social justice” is cancer. We don’t need virtue signaling or “wokeness”, just f**king give us a good game!

  4. On official forums and on reddit people say that 1.1 bricks their saves on a quest where Takemura is supposed to call you. He calls but then no dialog ensues, his icon is left hanging in the corner and you’re not able to do anything.
QA is in the $hitter at CDPR.

    1. Yeah, soft locked as well. This only happens apparently if you have the specific quest where he is supposed to call you. Except you know … actually work
