Call of Duty Black Ops 4 may support mods, Treyarch will look at adding support post-launch

Treyarch has announced that while Call of Duty Black Ops 4 will not support mods at launch, it will be looking at adding support after the game’s release. Treyarch claimed that it really values the mod community, though it has not 100% confirmed yet whether Black Ops 4 will indeed support mods or not.

A couple of days ago, we informed you about the framerate of the different modes that will be coming with Black Ops 4. At launch, Blackout will be locked at 120fps (with plans to raise the framerate to 144fps and then uncap it) whereas the Zombies and Multiplayer modes will have uncapped framerates.

Treyarch claimed that it is serious about the PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, so it will be interesting to see whether the team has addressed the low-resolution textures in the Blackout mode, and whether it will run smoothly on various PC configurations.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 releases on October 12!

  1. Treyarch is garbage. I messed around with the single player after I had already beat it with cheat engine. And yes it was only with single player… And it had banned me from the Multi player portion of the game. So now I have 1 actual banned game on my steam record. That was for blackops 3 btw…

  2. Community built and shared mods are the enemy of AAA’s overpriced microtransactions and dlc. Doubt they will ever fully support the modding community as they’ve touted.

Just more PR vomit to trick the innocent sunflowers who still think there’s no greed in the world and that Santa AAA still exists to look out for players to hand them video games made with the love of puppy hugs and pure unicorn magic.
