The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080Ti is, at this point, one of the worst kept secrets. After numerous leaks and rumors surrounding this GPU, ASUS went ahead and listed it on its official website.
This could be the first “semi-official” confirmation of this GPU. Apparently, ASUS jumped the gun and listed this unannounced GPU on its official website. Now I don’t know whether this was a mistake or not. However, I made sure to capture a screenshot from the current ASUS ROG Strix listing.
This comes just a few days after AIDA64 listing the RTX3080Ti in its database.
From what we know so far, the RTX3080Ti will fall somewhere between the RTX3080 and the RTX3090. As such, we can expect this GPU to be slightly faster than the RTX3080, and have around 20GB of VRAM. Its price will be also somewhere between the two aforementioned GPUs.

This card should be called RTX 3090 Ti and be at least 20% more faster than RTX 3090 with lesser price to make sense, this my opinion of course and can be wrong.
I’ll just wait for 3090 to be available at msrp.
so let me try to understand this now, RTX 3060 ti & RTX 3070 both rocking an 8GB VRAM, but the lower end RTX 3060 have 12GB? 2gb more than even the RTX 3080, what nvidia is doing here exactly?
Selling GPU cards that dont make sense so taht later in 2021 they come with better cards that do make sense and thus creating a need for buying expensiver cards and people sell their RTX 3080 and buy double.

No way Nvidia would spend $1000 or $1200 on a rtx 3090, just to sell it at $1500, and only make a few hundreds bucks net…!
By that logic, the 16gb of gddr6x inside the xbox series x would cost microsoft…400 or 500 dollars…?
Microsoft is probably paying $120 for the cpu, $100 for the gpu, and $150-$200 for the 16gb gddr6x.
Also, why can’t nvidia simply put a bunch of raytracing cores (same as the ones in the rtx) on a pcb, along a few extra components… and sell it as a RAYTRACING ACCELERATOR CARD, like the former 3d accelerator voodoo 3dfx..?
$399 for 1080p raytracing, $699 for 1440p and $999 for 4k…?
Because raytracing can turn a 90fps title into a 8-15fps slideshow, thus forcing gamers to keep buying the next big card every single year…

3080 TI? I still don’t see the point of the card. It’ll be what, 15% faster than a 3080? Will the extra 10 GB really make a difference? Cyberpunk at 8K uses just over 11 GB. Will this card be for 8K gaming??
I’m wondering about pricing. The TPU database says $1,000 MSRP and speculates that it will feature the same specs as the 3090 except it will have a slightly lower Boost Clock, a smaller Memory Bus and 4 GB less VRAM. Is that worth $500 more to the 3090 buyers?
All of this is just moot imo because they will be out of stock for the lifetime of Ampere anyway.
It’s going to be the same with Hoppers when they are scheduled to be released in 2021 unless Nvidia figures out how to get rid of the scalpers.
An idea that I had was for Nvidia to set up a database that records addresses and only ship GPUs to companies that agree to cooperate with Nvidia’s use of the database to really limit one or two GPUs per household.
There was a guy on here recently that claimed he had orders for 45 3080s at various stores around the world. There’s only one reason why someone would try to get 45 3080s. So he could scalp them.
