Action RPG Thymesia releases on PC on August 9th

OverBorder Studio has announced that its upcoming action RPG, Thymesia, will release on August 9th. In order to celebrate this announcement, the team released a new trailer that you can find below.

Thymesia is a gruelling action-RPG with fast-paced combat and an intricate plague weapon system. In a kingdom where death spreads, players will assume the role of a mysterious character known by the code name “Corvus”. Players will prey upon their enemies, wield the power of disease and find the truth in their own memories.

Here are also the game’s key features:

  • Weaponising diseases. As Corvus, players can seize diseases from enemies and wield them as deadly weapons
  • Engaging combat. Players will need to use their entire arsenal to avoid death; dodging attacks and parrying at precisely the right time will be instrumental to survival
  • A dark and deadly world. With a sinister and gloomy backdrop, Thymesia oozes character through its environments and setting
  • Unforgiving enemies. Corrupted by the plague, and mutated into monsters, the enemies are twisted and incredibly hostile, challenging players at every turn
  • Replayability. The ability to customise Corvus and try different builds, coupled with the multiple different endings available, means no two playthroughs are ever the same.

Enjoy!

  1. Very disappointed by the Steam Demo I tried yesterday. Not only is the color scheme and contrast quite dull (which probably a reshade plugin could fix) but the actual intaraction with the environments is so simplistic and unnatural it seemed I was playing a game from 2010. Indeeed this was just the demo which can be still a little rough around the edges but I doubt that in the 5 months till full release there can be a dramatic change. I really had high expectations for this one, let’s see if Bleak Faith or Lies of P can bring some fresh air in the souls-like family 🙂

      1. No, Elden Ring definitely NOT included. I really enjoyed that one and especially on PC with the recently updated Volition reshade mod it looks incredible besides it already playing phenomenally. And yes the occasional stuttering sucks but it is a technical issue that will get resolved at some point. Still I prefered playing on PC with that mod than the PS5 version.

        1. Gonna take a look at this mod you mentioned.
          Cheers.

          –edit–

Didn’t like the mod, it removes the “heavy air” the game tries to portray. I’ll keep the vanilla for now.

Demon’s Souls came out around that time i believe, and correct me if i’m wrong, but the only interaction with the environments that i remember is breaking some boxes, and some of those boxes would explode if exposed to fire, or poison the player.
