Modder ‘Kramer7046’ has released a new mod that aims to greatly improve the combat mechanics of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. So, let’s see what’s in store for us.
The Ultimate Combat Mod adds perfect block, perfect dodge, attack canceling, hitstop, and slow motion. It also brings sneak spell damage, multi-jumps, bow upgrades, and lock-on mechanics with MCM support.
I don’t believe Perfect Block and Perfect Dodge need any explanation. So, I’ll skip them as they do exactly what you think they do. Regarding some of the other features, we get slow motion on finishing blows, as well as damage boost rewards for well-timed defensive play. We also get attack canceling during windup with block or dodge, as well as acrobatics-based double jump and triple jump.
The mod also offers combat camera lock during attacks, blocks, and spell casts. There is an enemy lock-on targeting, and players can target specific body parts of their enemies. We also get sneak spell damage against undetected targets.
In a way, this mod feels like an extended version of Ultra Combat UE4SS – Physical Combat Overhaul. That mod already added Perfect Dodge, Perfect Guard, and slowmo for headshots to the game. So, if you’ve been playing Oblivion Remastered with it, you may not feel the need to use this new combat mod.

Speaking of Oblivion Remastered, here are some other cool mods for it. There is a mod that adds 43 travelers to the roads of Cyrodiil. This will make the world feel more alive.
In May 2024, we shared a mod that brings a true first-person camera to the game. This mod will immediately remind you of Trespasser. It’s a cool mod, though I can’t classify it as a must-have. So, you can skip it if you are happy with the game’s default first-person camera viewpoint.
There are also mods that bring back the game’s original colors, make lights shine farther, and give female characters their own unique walking and running animations. So, it’s a good idea to check them out.
Let’s also not forget the first 4K Texture Pack for the game. This pack improved the textures of armors, weapons, clothing, and jewelry. To upscale the vanilla textures, its creator used AI tools. As such, the new textures retained the art style of the original ones.
We also have a mod that aims to improve the behavior of all animals. Plus, the creator of the amazing HD Reworked mods for The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 has released his first mods. So, make sure to check them out.
One of the coolest mods I’ve seen is the Mad Destruction – DESTROY BUILDINGS Mod. This mod will let you destroy almost all of the game’s buildings. This isn’t a joke. Yes, there are some limitations. However, this is a mod that a lot of Oblivion fans will find cool. So, make sure to download it.
The Bees Needs W.A.S.P. Edition is another cool mod for Oblivion Remastered. This mod adds survival features like hunger, thirst, and fatigue. It makes the game more challenging and fun. If you want a more realistic experience, this is a great mod to try.
Finally, there is a mod that adds over 500+ hand-placed light sources to the Imperial City. We’ve also shared a Witcher-inspired DLC-sized Mod. So, be sure to check them out.
Have fun!
