Modder ‘Epiphany Absolute’ has released the first AI-upscaled 4K Texture Pack for Starfield, weighing around 13GB in size. This pack will improve the game’s textures and we are certain that a number of PC gamers will find it useful.
Now I know that we’ve had a lot of stories about Starfield in the past couple of days. However, this was one of the most anticipated PC games of 2023 and we’ve already gotten some pretty cool mods for it. And hey, at least these stories are better than the Unreal Engine 5 articles, right? God, I miss those UE5 articles.
Going into more details, the modder has used AI techniques in order to enhance the vanilla textures. To be more precise, the original textures have been upscaled by two times. This basically means that in most cases, the standard 2K textures of Starfield are now in glorious 4K. Now let’s wait and see how long it will take until we get the first 8K Texture Pack.
Unfortunately, the modder has not shared any before/after comparison screenshots. Still, those interested can go ahead and download the pack from here. I’ve also included below some screenshots that showcase these new 4K textures for Starfield. Furthermore, modder ‘CnRJay’ released another 4K Texture Pack for Starfield that overhauls all hair and beards for both your character and NPCs.
Speaking of Starfield, I also suggest downloading this mod which resolves the game’s elevated black levels/washed-out graphics. You can also use this guide in order to increase your FOV. Then we have an easier-to-use FSR 2.0 to DLSS 2.0 Mod (that a lot of RTX 20 and 30 series owners will appreciate. You can find it in the pinned comment). We also recommend this mod that attempts to improve the keyboard and mouse controls. And, as we reported a few hours ago, the DLSS 3 Frame Generation Mod has been cracked.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

free mod but it will cost you another 15 fps
Nope , all it will do is allow those owners of GPU with more than 8Gb to use the extra VRAM they have.
correct in other games.. but this is StarField we are talking – everything what ever you do in that game performance wise is worse.
DLSS ? Todd : sure thing but it will tank your framerate! Framegeneration ? Todd : ofcourse ! but that will be 20 fps less! Native res without sliders ? Todd : Ofcourse but than your PC will explode !
Also Todd : what the hell are framerates ? who needs them anyway ?
all the consoles havs 8GB as a so far any of the PC reviews showing the stock game not going over that amount.
better textures is not what this game needs
more framerates for everyone !
only thing this game needs is a massive flop. wont happen because we live in NPC clowland
The textures look fine in 4k already.
There are plenty of places where the textures look low res and running at 4k makes it even more obvious.
First nude mod, when ? Am I right, John ?
its out already.
I need a mod that puts a paper bag over the every NPC’s head. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/7e2bd9f2a718c5aea145359ccbe70a5bae22610d14281683c82222b038e08bfe.png
I agree the game is sh*t but dry yer eyes princess, no one is forcing you to click on the article.
This game to me looks like it’s mainly memory bandwidth constrained in performance. Making the texture assets even larger is likely going to hurt performance more than it usually does in many games where textures are really only constrained by memory size not the bandwidth.
The only way to determine it would be before and after benchmarks
