Modder ‘PlushRapier145’ has released a new HD Texture Pack for Resident Evil Village. This pack will overhaul almost all of the game’s textures, and it’s around 20GB in size. As such, it’s a must for those who want to replay this RE game on PC.
Going into more details, the modder has used ChaiNNer x4 and Topaz Gigapixel to upscale the original textures. Thus, the new textures retain the art style of the original ones. At the same time, they look sharper and more detailed than before.
Sadly, the modder has not shared a before/after comparison video. However, he did share the following comparison screenshots. So, be sure to check them out as they will give you an idea of what you can expect from it.
Those interested can download the HD Texture Pack from this link. Right now, the mod has been automatically quarantined. This can happen when a modder uploads a big file on NexusMods. My guess is that the download link will become available in a couple of hours. That’s usually what happens in such situations.
Once you download it, you will be able to install it via the Fluffy Mod Manager. All you have to do is drop the mod in the Mods folder and enable it. And that’s it.
Speaking of Resident Evil Village, the game no longer has Denuvo. Capcom removed it back in April 2023. There is also a very cool VR Mod for it. So, if you own a VR headset, you should definitely give it a try.
You can also find AI-enhanced texture packs for many more games. For instance, we have packs for Far Cry 3, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Blood 2, Dark Souls 2, FEAR, and Batman: Arkham Asylum have also received their own. Then we have those for Resident Evil: Revelations, Revelations 2, Resident Evil HD REMASTER, Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30, Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 7, and Tomb Raider: Legend. Let’s also not forget this one for Palworld and this one for Thief 2014. In September 2025, we also shared one for Fallout: New Vegas. On top of that, you can find similar mods for Baldur’s Gate 3, Rise of the Tomb Raider, GTA 4, NieR: Automata, and BioShock Infinite.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
