Red Dead Redemption 2 Visual Redemption Mod

Red Dead Redemption 2 gets a Realistic Euphoria Physics Mod

Modder ‘hunter14322’ just dropped a cool new mod for Red Dead Redemption 2. This mod is all about making the Euphoria Physics Engine in the game super realistic. It’s like taking the physics in the game and making them as real as can be. So, if you’re a fan of the game and want to see some mind-blowing physics, this mod is where it’s at.

This mod allows NPCs to stiffen up when shot. NPCs will stumble less, will fall down more easily when shot, and they will roll in pain when shot enough times. Moreover, players and NPCs will curl up into a ball when falling down a mountain, and there is also a rare “knockout” move. Players can also expect realistic bullet forces.

But there’s a little hitch – the modder didn’t share any videos comparing the regular game physics to the modded ones. So, we’re in the dark about whether this mod is really worth your time or not. We also can’t say for sure if it’s a big improvement over the D.R.O (DRAMATIC RAGDOLL OVERHAUL Mod), which is also made by hunter14322. At the end of the article, you’ll find a video that demonstrates this specific mod, so don’t forget to check it out.

Anyway, those interested can go ahead and give it a go by downloading it from here.

Speaking of RDR 2, we’ve got some cool mod suggestions for you. First up is an AI-enhanced HD Texture Pack that makes all the weapons look awesome. Then there’s a 2K Texture Pack that makes all the people in the game look even better. You can also grab a mod that adds a New Game+ Mode, even though it’s not official. Another mod revamps the interior lighting of buildings. And don’t miss out on the Visual Redemption Project. For some extra fun, there’s a gameplay mod that allows the player to use NPC-exclusive scenarios. Last but not least, there’s a mod that brings support for DLSS Ultra Quality & DLAA to the game.

Have fun!

  1. I use Vestigia and the seasons change mod and it looks great. I’ve never found anything that can remove the vignette consistently though, such a terrible thing that darkens the edges, why would we want such a still amazing game to look at to have dark edges to it? At least give us a setting to disable it like so many games have.

And even cp77 has mods that get rid of that all the time as well as the green tint, devs could just put in the settings a standard set of these things but of course vgames are about you doing what they dictate most of the time, you want more sugar? ok you have to do this, look at gtaV, bioshock infinite dlc, where you HAVE to torture someone to get more sugar, it’s pavlovian and they know it. Don’t think scum like cpdur etc don’t put things in because they’re stupid nah they do that on purpose, they WANT you to be bothered, stress/tension control.

Anyways such a shame there was never any meaningful sp dlc with this abandoned game, online doesn’t count imo. At least they could unlock a full sp version with online assets and missions vs. bots etc but.. justar nuf said.

  2. “It’s like taking the physics in the game and making them as real as can be. So, if you’re a fan of the game and want to see some mind-blowing physics, this mod is where it’s at.” and “the modder didn’t share any videos comparing the regular game physics to the modded ones. So, we’re in the dark about whether this mod is really worth your time or not.” are conflicting statements. How do you know it’s super realistic with “mind-blowing physics” and that this mod “is where it’s at” if you’re “in the dark about whether this mod is really worth your time or not”?

  3. Just wanted to point out that Euphoria is not a physics engine.

Q: Is euphoria a physics engine?
A: No, euphoria is not a physics engine. euphoria simulates the human (or animal) motor nervous system on Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3 and PC. One can think of it as biology meeting robot control theory. euphoria integrates with a game’s existing physics engine, which provides the basic body physics (commonly known as ‘ragdoll physics’). euphoria adds life to the dead physics simulation. In short, ragdolls are dead, floppy bodies. euphoria characters instead are alive and adaptive.

RAGE actually uses a modified version of the open source Bullet physics engine
