Modder ‘liqMix’ has released two must-have HD Texture Packs for the PC versions of Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
With the help of AI tools, liqMix boosted the quality of all textures in these two games. And, since Konami didn’t bring any improvements at all in these re-releases, we strongly suggest getting them. After all, they will greatly enhance your gaming experience.
These textures and the modded files – which increase their internal resolution – are a must-have for everyone. With these, you can finally play these games on your PC and have a blast. It’s another example of how modders do what game developers should’ve done from the start. It’s pathetic but here we are.
You can grab these HD Texture Packs for Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 from these links: MGS2HD and MGS3HD. Check out the pictures below to see how the upgraded (left) and original (right) textures compare. The game keeps its original style but gets a nice sharpness boost.
Speaking of AI-enhanced HD Texture Packs, we also suggest taking a look at these for some other games. Earlier this month, STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl and Half-Life 2 got two cool AI-enhanced HD Texture Packs. You can also find packs for Far Cry 3, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Blood 2, Dark Souls 2, FEAR and Resident Evil 7.
Have fun!

the only worthwhile texture pack that i’ve seen was for Resident evil 4 HD project, and some packs for fallout 4 and skyrim, the rest were just A.I upscaled the same crappy textures with some sharpness
I’ve still got the original of mgs 2 on disc. It was the first dvd game I owned and forced me to upgrade my disc drive. I must have replayed the first mission dozens of times.
Meanwhile, I’ve misplaced both my mgs 3 copy and my ps3 somehow through the years. C’est la vie.
Man, that game aged with such grace. All that thanks to its clean art-direction.
Note : You don’t need to Hex edit the exe anymore to get 1080p,4K or Ultra wide, a simple ASI script can do it for you along with some cool options (borderless windowed support, skip intro, mouse sensitivity scaler…)
Google “MGS master collection fix”
The link to the MGS3 mod no longer works.
