Modder ‘PureDark’ has released a new mod for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora that enables support for DLSS 3 Frame Generation. Additionally, the modder has improved the quality of DLSS 3.5 Super Resolution. As such, the game will be now sharper with this mod.
Now the bad news here is that as with all of PureDark’s DLSS 3 Mods, this one is also behind a Patreon wall. Yeap, in order to enjoy DLSS 3, you’ll have to pay for it. It sucks but hey, it is what it is.
What’s also interesting here is that DLSS 3 Frame Generation does not have the UI stuttering issues of FSR 3.0 Frame Generation. Not only that but it works properly with both Borderless and Fullscreen Modes. The reason I’m mentioning this is because, according to some reports, FSR 3.0 FG works best with Borderless. For what it’s worth, I tried FSR 3.0 in Borderless on my RTX4090. Compared to Fullscreen, Borderless appears to be a bit better. However, I still had some “stuttery” issues. Again, FSR 3.0 FG’s implementation in Avatar is not as bad as the one we got in older games like Forspoken or Immortals of Aveum. However, it’s still inferior to DLSS 3 Frame Generation.
I also hope that LukeFZ will take a look at this game. LukeFZ has released free DLSS 3 mods for a couple of games. Right now, you can download free DLSS 3 Mods for Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Lies of P. On the other hand, PureDark has released DLSS 3 Mods for even more PC games. As said though, PureDark’s mods aren’t available for free. Still, you can get DLSS 3 Frame Generation in games like Baldur’s Gate 3, Grand Theft Auto 5, and Red Dead Redemption 2.

I’m fine with FSR3 and not paying him.
You can download it from cs rin ru for free anyway.
thanks chap!
I found fsr 3 frame gen rather unusable due to the hud issues. Hopefully Ubisoft / Massive either fixes fsr 3 frame gen or adds dlss 3 frame gen (would be nice to use dlss 3.5 sr instead of fsr sr) by the time I get around to play this (early next year likely), otherwise I’ll probably have to go with PureDark’s mod.
Robbing b*tard how to help the pc gaming Community Just another person that wants to cash grab no better than Rockstar delaying Gta 6 on pc.
No one should be expected to offer their time and work for free. If they wish to, great, otherwise, people should not expect free entitlement.
I don’t really see any reason to run Frame Generation in this game with a 4070Ti and 1440p ultrawide max settings, DLSS Quality with (of course) Motion Blur and Depth of Field turned off and both Volumetric Fog and Volumetric Clouds each turned down a notch. I also set Chromatic Aberration and Vignetting to false in the Graphic Setting.cfg file and then set it to Read Only and I’ve over 100 FPS
Like Witcher 3 Next Gen this game uses TAAU and DLSS Quality looks better and you get a mild bump in performance
I’d like to add they need to stick with bug fixes first and adding FG later. There is a quest that glitches and has hundreds, likely thousands of players (Including myself) stuck in the beginning 25% of the main quest.
They also screwed up badly and all the cutscenes drop from 21:9 down to 16:9 on an ultrawide monitor which can be easily corrected by just changing 4 bytes in the EXE. However anyone who does that probably shouldn’t try to play co-op or you’ll get a cheating ban because the first thing all anti-cheats do is look for changes in the EXE and DLLs
The “paywall” involving in buying a 4000 series card is a bigger barrier to more people.
