Just like the popular “Buddy Film” movie genre, which casts a pair of unlikely heroes who must band together, there are bound to be communication problems and hilarious moments. This is one of the original aspects of Of Orcs and Men. Indeed, the powerful and proud Orc warrior Arkaïl and the sly Goblin Styx don’t have much in common, and when they butt heads it allows for some comic relief in an otherwise dark and violent adventure. Our reader ‘GhostRiderLSOV’ has sent us one of the most ambitious ArmA 2 machinima movies we’ve ever seen. Directed, edited and produced by Binary Orchestra, this movie shows an invasion at Seattle that puts against the US army with the Russian one. Markus ‘Notch’ Persson has released the first footage of Mojang’s upcoming game, 0x10c. This is a WIP footage, and does not show much, apart from some physics, bobbing, and guns. 0x10c is said to take place in a hard science fiction world and will feature lots of engineering, a fully working computer system, space battles against the AI or other players. Players will be able to seamlessly land on planets and there will be an advanced economy system. There will also be random encounters, as well as mining, trading, and looting. Enjoy! Square Enix released a new trailer for Hitman: Absolution. Developed by IO Interactive, Hitman: Absolution follows Agent 47, a cold blooded assassin, who takes on his most dangerous contract to date. Betrayed by those he trusted and hunted by the police, he finds himself at the centre of a dark conspiracy and must embark on a personal journey through a corrupt and twisted world, in his search for the truth. Now this is what most pCars fans have been waiting for. Although we didn’t have any confirmation about such a mode, we always thought that the final game would support it. And we are delighted to reveal today that an MP mode will be added to an upcoming build of Project CARS. Our guess is that an early multiplayer WIP mode will be in this Friday build for Manager+ tool packs, so hopefully we might see this mode hitting the other builds next Friday. Ah yes, MK vs SF is the crossover we’ve been waiting for. And although we’ve seen a couple of fan-made animations that put SF characters against the MK ones, it seems unlikely we’ll ever get such a game. Good news then that there have been a couple of fan films that tried to satisfy our desire for such a crossover. So, today we bring you a new live action short film, directed by Chris Mark, that puts Scorpion against Ryu. Techland has revealed the first gameplay footage for its FPS hack n slash title, Project Hell. Project Hell started as an internal weapon mod for Dead Island, but quickly became something more than that. There is currently a small team inside Techland that is working on it, and this is the first gameplay footage of it. The game is currently planned for a PC release, but Techland might port it to consoles at a later date. Enjoy! DICE has announced the winners for its ‘Only In Battlefield 3′ contest. According to the company, over 1,200 fan made Battlefield 3 videos reached our inbox, and the level of quality was exceptional. The three winners are [GDO]Aziimut, MongolFPS and jackfrags. [GDO]Aziimut’s entry was focused on helicopters and how they can change the events of a match, while MongolFPS’ entry was dedicated to teamwork. Jackfrags though was the best – in our opinion – as it featured lots of action, great scenes and destruction. Milestone has released a new trailer for WRC 3 that showcases the new Challenges and the Boss Battles that have been added to the game’s career mode. Created as special events, where the goal is to master a specific game mechanics. WRC3 will be packed with more than 50+ Official Race Teams, 35+ different cars, every track from the championships (including all of the Super Special Stages) and a completely re-designed career mode.
