Activision released a brand new trailer for their highly anticipated FPS game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. As with most CoD trailers, it looks epic and demonstrates some of the changes that were made to its dated game engine. From the looks of it, there will be lots of scripted moments but then again, that has always been CoD’s strongest feature. This time around there will be a limited level of destruction, though we can’t help but notice that most of the environmental mayhem is basically scripted (pretty much like the one in Crysis 2). ALT1 Games has announced that there will be update with a large-scale war system for Troy online on Oct 15th 2011. By introducing this large-scale war system users will be able to enjoy a new type of war, the Invasion War, which allows users to invade the opponent’s capital city. Brightside Entertainment has announced Marble Arena 2, a physics based, free, 3D marble game, featuring vibrant HD graphics, fun and addictive gameplay, and easy to use built-in editor for creating custom levels. The game will feature 50 mayhem filled levels, and being a physics based game, it will test the player’s rolling skills on several types of surfaces and make use of a multitude of physics contraptions in fun and sometimes headache inducing ways. Great news for iD Software as RAGE has managed to sit on the first place of both the digital and the retail sales. The Sims 3 remained at the second place, whereas Fifa 12 lost two places. Still, it’s nice to see a sports title at the Top 5 and should prove to EA Sports that PC gamers can appreciate a next-generation and polished sports title. F1 2011 on the other hand has managed to win six places, while Starcraft 2 has re-entered the retail charts. Wolfire Games released a new video in which David Rosen, the company’s main programmer, is showcasing some changes that have been made to the game’s latest alpha version. David worked on some stealth mechanics and added a stealth chokehold with tethered movement, as well as body dragging that sports procedural foot placement for the legs of the main character. Square Enix and IO Interactive announced that a full-length, uncut walkthrough video of Hitman: Absolution will become available early this week. The walkthrough will be from the ‘Run For Your Life’ level which is the level they’ve been touring with these past days. In addition, Square Enix released a new screenshot that can be viewed after the jump. Hitman: Absolution is slated for a 2012 release on PC, X360 and PS3. In a shocking turn of events, PC PowerPlay’s magazine cover revealed that Mass Effect 3 will actually support a multiplayer mode. Or as the cover suggests, Multiplayer comes to Mass Effect 3. In addition, the magazine traveled to BioWare’s office in Edmonton for hands-on time with the series’ first foray into online gameplay, and chat with Mass Effect Series Producer and Mass Effect 3 Project Director Casey Hudson about the decision to go multiplayer in the epic battle for the galaxy.
