WMD’s member ‘Halcyon’ has released a new trailer for Slightly Mad Studios’ racing game, Project CARS. Project CARS looks gorgeous and Halcyon has managed to outdone himself with this new, great looking and well executed trailer. Now this is huge. Today, BioWare co-founders Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk have announced they are retiring from BioWare. Greg has admitted that he reached an unexpected point in his life where he no longer has the passion that he once did for the company, for the games, and for the challenge of creation. Deep Silver today released a trailer for the next installment in the Dead Island franchise which will be released in 2013. This is a CGI trailer, and is as good as the debut CGI trailer of its predecessor. You see, it’s all about the music, the emotional state of the characters, the desperation, the carefully selected camera angles, and the fact that a good day can so easily turn into a bloody hellish one. If only the game followed the horror element that is present in both this and the original CGI trailer of Dead Island. Now that would be a truly amazing game. But that’s not going to happen.
