Microsoft and 343 Industries have launched the first flighting for Halo 4. Thankfully, we had access to it so we’ve decided to capture and share some 4K/Max Settings screenshots.
In order to capture the following screenshots, we used an Intel i9 9900K with 16GB of DDR4 at 3600Mhz. Naturally, we’ve paired this machine with an NVIDIA RTX 2080Ti. We also used Windows 10 64-bit and the latest version of the GeForce drivers. We’ve also included MSI Afterburner in our screenshots in order to give you an idea of the in-game performance.
Halo 4 is by far the most beautiful Halo game of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Surprisingly enough, all of the textures look great and sharp on the PC. This was the first Halo game that 343 Industries developed, and pretty much all of the enemies have improved/different details. The game also comes with some amazing vistas, as well as some cool lighting effects.
Our NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080Ti was able to run the game with more than 150fps in 4K/Max Settings. We also did not experience any mouse smoothing or acceleration issues. Additionally, there weren’t any major stuttering issues. Not only that, but this “beta” version of Halo 4 was stable, and we did not experience any crashes. Thus, we can safely assume that the final version will run smoothly on a huge range of PC configurations.
343 Industries did not reveal a release date for Halo 4. However, most of the “Halo: MCC” releases occur a few weeks after the first flighting. Therefore, we can assume that the game will come out in November 2020.

It would be nice if 343 also ported over Halo 5: Guardians since Infinite was delayed.
maybe this is why it was delayed? Makes no sense they will port all the rest but not that one while the new one will also be on pc.
Anyway halo 4 is meh if not bad, halo 5 is an abomination that shouldnt exist in this world.
On Halopoint some high rank guy spoiled that Halo 5 is coming to PC, few hours late dude was perma banned.
I think they want to pretend that Halo 5 never existed. It’s a shame because I liked Warzone Firefight and would have loved to play it on PC.

Steam is the best service out there.
It’s not, they have been going down past years, not the best deals on games anymore, steam chat is more offline then online, and censorship has gone crazy, from user reviews, to banning whatever they disagree on since they have taken a political stand the same of silicon valley.
I don’t use Steam for reviews or Steam Chat so I can’t speak to that but I have noticed the sales not being as good as they used to be but bear in mind that Steam doesn’t set sale prices. The Publishers do that.
Steam may advise Publishers on what to put on sale and for how much but ultimately it’s the Publishers setting the sale prices.

I’d rather want Fable 2. GeOW is generic mediocre corridor shooter. If you played GeOW 1 on PC – you played them all.
In regards to Gears, we have a nice looking remake for Gears 1 and Gears 2/3/Judgement are fully playable using Xenia emulator.
The best thing 343 ever did was MILF Cortana in Halo 4, change my mind.

The menu to be honest of this Halo MCC is also very good, very easy to navigate and intuitive.
I would have expected Halo 4 to look worse than Halo Infinite, but it actually looks just as “good” if not better. Heh, they have A LOT of work to do on Infinite.

I did, and it meant that only the headshot weapons were used and that plasma weapons were not used just in case you met any Flood or Brute.

I thought that’s whats expected from a fossil of a game. The game went into development way before many of you here were even born LOL. Praising a last gen game for running fine on a PC you guys are desperate
Halo 4 looked amazing on Xbox 360. I always said this. They should of just used Unreal engine for Infinite like they started to. I’m sure if they knew gamepass/xcloud being as big as it is now they would of just made it series s/x/pc and the engine problems would of resolved themselves. I also think the ambition of the game suffers from support the vanilla xbox one. They went from being able to travel to different rings to different installations on one ring for Infinite. They should drop support and just wait til xcloud stream is available on the one and support it that way. Doom Eternal on xcloud is pretty damn nice.
I bought the MCC a month ago, and coming from Halo 2 remaster down to Halo 3 original was a big fkin hit and it was a chore to go through. The story wasn’t as good as 2’s either.
Currently on ODST and I’m losing my will to live. I thought all of the games would be remastered and as I never got to experience the franchise other than Halo 2 way back in the day, I bought it.
EDIT: Oh and I didn’t even realize that even the newer games are really old by now and don’t hold up great.
A lot of people didn’t get to play Halo 2 because MS claimed that you had to be using Vista.
