  1. That’s a great upgrade. Now if only someone would re-release TombRaider 1-4 to work better with modern OS without much fiddling. I expected them to do it for the 20th anniversary, alas the modern generation of “latest and greatest” gamers, devs and publishers couldn’t care less about them.

Anyway, please try to keep the artistic vision intact. I notice the ground on screenshot 3 seem to look like soil whereas it looks like a red carpet in the original. Would much appreciate it if you could keep it same at the maximum extent possible.

Also, please do this for 1,2 and 3 also after you are done, if you guys can. This is really great, especially the model upgrade. And the texture and the environmental upgrades are obviously awesome too. Thx for the effort and work so far.

      gog has.

      1. i meant those that had more open approach not heavly scripted moments where you go in 1 directs, and things always collapse as you run into them and you jump at the same time to survive the same destruction

  2. Last revelation is the best tomb raider in terms of story and interesting traps, levels, puzzles and situations. It was wayyyy ahead of its time. Psx could not run it well with the upgraded graphics, so they split the game into different levels which were all smaller than the levels in the previous games and you were going back and fourth in those levels, it was very nonlinear When console peasants say “HUR DUR CONSOLE OPTIMIZATION” the reality is in fact much different. psx did not become more powerful, the maps became smaller.

Some of the technology used back then was way too ambitious for psx, like say the rope swinging and climbing. The thing that pissed me off the most was that even then they did not manage to add mouse controls, nor this mod does.

    1. I played it on psx and only now I’m finding out those levels were supposed to be joined together. I always thought interconnecting the levels in a sort of open world-ish way was a next step for the series, I never knew it was due to console limitations.
