No Man’s Sky – Foundation update releasing this week

Hello Games announced today that it will release a new update for No Man’s Sky this week. According to the team, this update will feature the foundations of base building, and aims to be the foundation for things to come.

As Hello Games stated:

“In the nine weeks since release our small team has been hard at work on development, testing and certification for the Foundation Update. It won’t be our biggest update, but it is the start of something.”

During this period, Hello Games preferred to stay silent and focus on improving the game, while also listening to the feedback from its fanbase (whether it was positive or negative).

Whether this is too little too late remains to be seen. No Man’s Sky was released almost two months ago, and its last update was released on September 24th.

  1. All that silence to then announce one feature and hardly a show for wanting to fix a lot of the game, but rather just add to it. Seems like most indie devs that make open world games, tend to use the Ark path, where they focus on adding and adding, rather than heavy optimization and ironing out the entire game.

Yeah do that, this is the only game to keep this alive.

      1. true. but let me say this, starbound took forever to come out of early access, the forest and subnautica are still in early access

        1. Also true, but (:>) don’t think that any of the titles you mentioned are using so much deceptive marketing. So much lies from Sean Murray that can’t be covered up with any “DLC” or update. Game should be made as it was advertised and more. 59,99 Euro’s for this ?

  3. Plus with all that silence I would never buy a hello game again . PS. I knew the game gonna flop so I didnt bought lol

        1. I can assure you that it looks just like that.
Only thing different in that shot is the lack of the nicknamed “instagram filter” and the blur.

  4. even if no one is playing the game, there is still a loot of buzz over this game and every news site has this Foundation update on there
