Flying Wild Hog has detailed the first update for Shadow Warrior 2. According to the development team, this patch will most probably hit Steam this weekend, and will address a number of issues that have been reported by its fanbase.
This patch will also fix a bug that forced the game to load on 2 core CPUs on a number of PC systems (for what is worth, we did not experience such a thing).
Moreover, Flying Wild Hog will add some commands via which players can skip the videos and fix some startup crashes.
Here is the complete changelog for Shadow Warrior 2’s first patch:
- Fixed cutscene FOV, when playing with non standard FOV
- Fixed game stuck on loading on 2 core CPUs
- Added safe mode (add -safe to properties->general->set launch options) in order to fix startup crashes on some configurations

G-Sync needs a fix too. Getting really bad judder.
Yeah the judder is bad with full-screen, in the nvcp tick ‘enable g-sync for windowed and fullscreen mode’ then in the game menu put it into borderless windowed , it’s smooth as butter after that.
This is my first game ever to mess up g sync in exclusive fullscreen mode but that workaround will do until they patch it.
i’ll try the borderless option.
the only other game i’ve had major issues with as far as gsync is concerned is DOOM 2016.
No, it’s not smooth as butter even with windowed mode.
Just checking, you do know we’re talk about G-Sync not V-Sync? SW2 borderless windowed work fine in G-Sync on as long as you have G-Sync enabled in the control panel for windowed games.
Indeed.
I selected borderless window and I havn’t noticed any issue
Great game so far, I’m having a blast!
Now that’s an active dev. Money spent well!
They should have done it before release, but here we are again.
Yes probably but most of the issues addressed are not game breaking except corrupted saves and two core issues. Also remember that these guys are indie devs so they don’t have the resources to test the game that extensively on a variety of hardware/software configurations, compare this to some AAA crap like Mafia 3 and Batman Arkham Knight and you’ll see how polished this game is on release day.

not finding any lan option, only multiplayer by steam servers (gog version uses gog server)
iirc LAN is primised to be in later down the line (according to twitter)
Probably because its fps ís unlocked on the game menu, so the game is not synced to 60 hz
When vsync is on this happens too? Are you using amd?
Probably not, maybe you are more sensitive to it
In order to be as smooth as possible you need V-Sync + Triple Buffering from NV CP(Disabled both in-game) and Fullscreen mode.
This game is awesome. And the devs are awesome.
