Warner Bros Montreal Is Currently Working On Two Games Set In The DC Universe

Warner Bros Montreal was the team behind Batman: Arkham Origins, and while that game was not as optimized as possible on the PC, it had the least problems – from the Batman: Arkham series – on our platform. And according to its official website, the team is currently working on two triple-A DC games.

While we don’t have enough information about these two games, rumours suggest that the first one is a Batman game set between Origins and Asylum and that the second one is a Suicide Squad game.

Nevertheless, it’s good knowing that some new DC games are under development (a Batman vs Superman game could be actually cool too).

Let’s just hope that Warner Bros Montreal will be the ones developing the PC version, and that it will do a better job than Rocksteady and Iron Galaxy (that is of course if the games actually hit the PC).

  1. I had more problems with Arkham Origins than the first two games combined. Burley tower, stuck doors, predator rooms guards stuck in walls all of these were game breaking. I’ll take another Rocksteady mess before I do another Montreal WB. Not the mention the biggest hit of them all “The team is currently working hard on the upcoming story DLC and there currently are no plans for releasing another patch to address the issues that have been reported” I lost faith in WB Montreal the day I read that.

But by all means let them do another Batman game.

  2. Batman Arkham Origins had the best Story & Boss Fights. And honestly now that I look back at all Arkham games, it was the most fun I have had in the series especially the excellent Cold, Cold Heart DLC was really good and was better than anything Rocksteady has done. So I have have high hopes for WB Montreal’s next projects, just make sure it is more polished at launch than what Batman Arkham Origin’s was and everyone will be happy.

    1. best story? I don’t think so… it did however have great boss fights. City to me was the best game Period. And Origins still is pretty unoptimized. That never god fixed. Performance does not match the visuals.

But out of all the batman games. Asylum was the best for visuals / performance. WB’s dev’s slipped after that on PC. .

      1. Yes Arkham City was the best game overall but I had more fun with Arkham Origins because the Arkham City boss fights were boring & not fun & memorable like the boss fights in Arkham Origins. That boss fight with Deathstoke was epic.

        1. Arkham Origins had the best overall boss fights but City had the best single boss fight of the series ie Mr Freeze.

    2. once patched it as ok, the narrative was good, cant say the same for the rest of the game, the quests were badly made.

      1. This time they will have to make sure that the pc version works well before release they will not risk it again releasing it in such bad state. And these games are years away before release anyeay so plenty of time to make the pc version right.

  3. The only need to hire a developer with good pc experience like QLOC. They hred them for Mortal Kombat X after High Voltage screw it up so i believe they will also hire them for their next pc version. And now that pcs officlaly entered the living room with steam machines, there is not any reason any more to treat it as something inferiro comapred to consoles.

  4. I’m probably gonna receive lots of flak for this but I honestly found Arkham Knight to be the best of the series. Yes it had HORRIBLE performance but everything else was sublime. The freeflow mechanics were taken further, the batmobile was fun (especially the combat mode), there were general improvements to gameplay mechanics etc. Perhaps the story wasn’t the best. The Knight being (spoiler) Jason Todd was a letdown and I’d say Origin’s story was the best as it had the best narrative but there were things in Arkham Knight that I just couldn’t help but appreciate such as when you glide around and the joker would randomly be atop a building speaking to you. I liked how the joker was dead but not really dead
