Was halfway through the game so i will wait for the death edition i guess it has to be better
Squint your eyes and add some temporal aa blur and you got yourself the deathinitive edition.
Lies. The new versions has better textures, better lightning, more sources of light, more shadows, better shadows (even functional ones), better ambient occlusion, more vegetation, reworked assets (rock formations, trees, some architecture), functional AA and Vsync on PC.
The changes besides the textures and lighting the rest are not that notable, on a direct comparison you wont notice the rest. On second thought, besides the lighting nothing else in the remastered version actually matters, the textures while they give a sort of realistic/soft and therefore lacks a bit of details found in the original. The rest of what you wrote, go compare and they barely qualify. But fine, anyway what I said was just a joke.
Yay I will get it for free. I am Tier 1.
Same here
That’s what I like to see from devs where they acknowledge and support their previous customers instead of reselling it to those whom own it already, same should’ve been done for countless games like guacmelee and Sleeping dogs to name a few

??????????????????????????????????????????
I’m Tier 2. I have both games and just some of the DLCs for Darksiders 2. An 80% discount sounds fair to me since I don’t have all the DLCs.
I reckon the Tier 2 discount is a much better offer/cheaper than rushing off to buy the rest of the DLCs now just to get the Deathfinitive edition for free. Then again, I’m never good in handling my own budget so I could be wrong.
Just took a look at the Steam reviews…
Hopefully it won’t be locked at 30fps like those godawful Console ports. As weak as those consoles are, there is no reason for them to run the game only at 30fps.
wait wait wait…. didnt darsiders 1 and 2 run at 60fps on 360/ps3 with dips here and there? now next gen cant even do that on a hd edition of a game?
found this showing that AT LEAST it was fps unlocked.

fnny that a slightly updated game on a brand new console has to be locked. consoles are cancer.
I have everything but the season pass and soundtrack for DS2. Will I get the free update as well?
first game was pretty good, second game, BUDGET MORE BUDGET MORE HYPE, MAKE IT BIGGER.
Result? its not a hack and slash game that takes skill it is a rpg, its not a sequel its a prequel, it barelly has any story most of it is identical dungeons that connect to other dungeons and expand to other dungeons that you keep killing samey stuff and level up.
Also bugs.
Godamn it, people should just buy this hoping nord publishing or whoever owns the rights now makes a new one on a reasonable budget, they arleady said they can deliever the same with lower cost.
I totally agree with you. Darksiders 1 was awesome but 2 is just average. hope to see Darksiders 3 soon
If Darksiders 2 had the same level design and scale from Darksiders 1, it would’ve been a much better game than what we were given..
They should have done what Divinity Original Sin did, give it free to those who already own the first version on PC… but hey I get it, they are milking a dead franchise.
Dark Siders 2 came out in 2012… Besides You know they are working on a 3rd right… I can only hope this game is more polished and optimized then when it was under publication under THQ. At least they have a Tier Program and nothing at all.
Hello to you again. I’ve seen the HD videos and screens, it looks nothing special, particularly for someone who already has the game, it’s not worth spending money on. But again its just my opinion. As for it having a 3rd in the works, yeah I know, its being developed by a different company, cause the one who made the first games went bye bye. Dark Siders isn’t a bad game, but it’s not really considered a very good game, nor a game that mae a lot of money in the first place, and tipically HD remasters aren’t made just for a niche of customers, so to me I can only see this as the new company trying to get some extra bucks for the development of the new game, and to compensate for the money they already use to buy the franchise too.
And guess what… it’s a new version. You get it or you don’t. It’s not for you? oh well I mean it’s more likely for hardcore fans and people new to the series to get attention.
You don’t have to get it… It’s that simple.
Indeed I won’t 😛
Needs Sound track to free update?
