At this year’s EGX event, Rainbow Six: Siege’s Art Director, Scott Mitchell, revealed that the game will not feature any single-player campaign. Instead, players will be able to play some tutorials via which they can experience different operators and their device before jumping into the online arena.
As Scott Mitchell claimed:
“There is no story mode per se. You go through training, where you get to experience different operators and their devices. You can play against enemy AI in co-op through all the maps. You can customise matches, so that’s what we’re offering on the single-player side of things.
It’s a pretty good training ground, and on top or that you’re unlocking the same content as you would playing in PvP. You’re still gaining stars, reknown points, and new operatives”
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege will be released on December 1st, will ship with 11 maps, and all of its future maps will be available for free.

Oh boy, what a waste lol. Hey Crappysoft: even Battlefield games have SP campaign.
Battlefront won’t… And both Battlefront and Siege beta kinda made me yawn…
Battlefront Beta wasn’t released yet bro, and the Alpha of Battlefront was way better than the R6 Siege Beta. All people in ComicCon got out amazed by the game, including me.
I played the Alpha Beta of Battlefront BRO… And the game is boring as F’K I hope it’s not as boring as the Alpha was. XD
and they are god awful, whats your point.
Point is not the quality of the campaigns, but that a heavily MP oriented game like Battlefield still includes a SP campaign.
Well, they have SP, but campaigns in BF4 and BF3 are dull, boring and the level of excitement is below 0. So… Yeah, I don’t even care Battlefront won’t have one. DICE can only do cool, humoristic stuff a’la Bad Company.
I been playing Rainbow6 Siege Beta. And I gotta admit the beta has the optimization nailed down. I even thought it played good on a controller just for fun eh eh.
My Siege Beta overview
Pro’s
Graphics options give full detail in what they are and what they do
No stuttering or massive FPS drop
Fun when you are matched with people who use the mic and have strategy
1 kill with no respawning
Con’s
Visuals are not all that impressive at all (beta but still. Shows option for higher textures but is locked out of the beta)
match ups take a while at times to get a party(can be excused for beta)
limited 5v5 TDM is boring to me
players who treat the game like COD/BF
Not sure if it wants to play as a traditional FPS or Arena Style FPS with movement…
No SLI/CF Support (freaking beta)
$59.99 Price? eh Maybe $19.99 at best.
How does the game have “optimization nailed down” when the graphics look like shït and are miles below what they show in promotional material and the original 2014 E3 gameplay reveal?
Maps are small and you spend most of the time in medium to small sized rooms and corridors, there aren’t many objects on screen, textures are mostly garbage, character poly count is pretty bad, and the list goes on.
Now I assume some of this will be improved in the final game, but it’s Ubisoft so I have no reason to trust them.
Lack of SLI in Beta is a pretty bad sign, 2 months away from release, I’ve tried various SLI bits and they completely f*ck up the game, I’ve used the ones from Watch Dogs and AC:U since they are the exact same engine as well.
How well how about you look at other cards running on the game on other cpu’s. Runs fine with them. Don’t judge visuals with optimization. It’s how a game scales with various hardware that judges optimization.
Besides it’s visuals are still in beta. You can’t expect promotion quality from a beta.
Lack of SLI support and CF is pretty custom for Beta’s. Even Battlefront alpha for example did not have it. Nor did BF4 or hardline or pretty much every beta that I played the last few years.
Besides people should be glad it don’t have stuttering or massive fps drops. I have fun with the game at times but the same TDM of protect or disarm gets boring after a few matches.
Again. It’s a beta. From your argument you are expecting way to much.
“It’s a beta so shut up”
That’s what your whole line of argument comes down to.
Maybe that would have been valid several years ago, the last couple of years, Betas have been pretty representative of final releases, with certain games being even worse once released.
Did I say it’s a beta so shut up? lol if you are going to quote me at least quote what I type.
…have you never heard of paraphrasing?
How about you just piss off since it’s obvious you are just trying to hit a nerve with me. You should just be glad the game does not stutter of have performance issues.
If Ubisoft keeps this up with it’s dev’s they might gain some respect again.
I don’t have to be glad for anything, they want to sell me a product, it has to abide by certain standards that are to be expected.
You seem to be unable to have any sort of interaction without getting all pissy. If i hit a nerve without trying, then you have some issues to sort out.
Well yeah we’ve already known about this for quite sometime now. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6: Patriots did have a singleplayer campaign which of course got scrapped in favor of a multiplayer only game aka Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege.

R.I.P old school Rainbow Six =( * goes back for play Mad Max *
well there are plenty of expansions you can play and custom maps
mad max has no strategy whatsoever though 🙂
Oh boy. I was hoping this one fit my SWAT4 needs 🙁
My Rainbow Six Beta Gameplay https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMGb7HNxsUM&feature=youtu.be
I’ve been playing multiplayer games such as CS GO, Warface etc. for years
and now are getting bored
it looks like I have to change tastes to a singleplayer game
well we knew that from the beginning, i guess in E3 they announced solo & coop mode in 4maps or so which is stupid but looks like they removed that too, playing against AI is stupid. the whole game is stupid. few maps, do the same thing over and over. you like tactical shooter like any other R6 games ?
well here is for you a 5v5 or 4v4 multiplayer game in which you are forced to play with 4yo and they go guns blazing into the game and yell at you, this happens after you dealt with UPlay. and in a few years they are going to shut down the game and you can’t access the game you were paid 60$ for, because Siege 2 is coming.
The real issue is that the game is extremely streamlined and far off the first few original R6 games, it screams CONSOLE DESIGN at every damn turn.
It’s not a bad decision I guess. If they shoehorn a singleplayer campaign that sucks, like in Battlefield 4, why should I care!? IMO focusing on multiplayer content is a great idea.
And another fail like starwars no campaign god dammit
Um… Sorry but that’s not really a news. It was known for some time.
Then I’m giving it a pass. Sorry.
Awesome… why release a single player game when we can create a couple of maps and modes and still sell it for 60 USD or more. Stupid customers buying this crap, Evolve and SW BF will destroy the gaming industry.
Why aren’t there terrorists in this game? It would be way better. Now it looks stupid AF when counter-terrorists fight counter-terrorists.
