    1. I sold like 40 books just before I came here to read this. Doesnt really matter, didn’t read the books anyway.

  1. After 150 hours played (still not finished the main story and did more than 150 quests), they add the god damn STASHES!!! I knew that something important was missing since TW2, and trust me I played with overweight for hours because I didn’t want to sell some epic swords and armors.
It makes more sense to have stashes to “collect” those things that in TW2.

Wow…this patch is probably the best overall since they also added some cool things to the inventory and reduced the weight of it as well. (I can carry 180 now though but always get more than that because I like to explore and collect everything)

And the “bug-horse” (as I like to call it because it is a living bug in the game…lol) will also get improvements.

    Very very nice!

  2. How about the CTD when in battle with the R9 285? Will I still need to use the dll from windows10?

  3. The love these guys have for this game is astounding. TW3 is without a doubt the best RPG and quite possibly best game I’ve ever played… and it just keeps getting better and better. Couldn’t be happier that I opened my wallet in support of CDPR.

    1. I even refunded my steam copy to get it from gog because I wanted them to have all my money. And after like 200h in-game and still playing I feel the need to give them more.

    2. Reading these updates, words that came to mind were:
      “Awesome”
      “Perfect”
      “Finally”
      “Sweet”

CD Projeckt Red – Don’t change your ways, you’re doing everything right!

    3. Stopped playing personally after about 40 hours on PC.

Inventory gave me cancer, it was just annoyingly confusing at times. Story was hard to follow as I was exploring too much. Controls annoyed me at times. 90% of the loot is useless once you’ve crafted stuff in alchemy and got a Witcher set. No storage.

Just finding an oil for your blade was a chore.

It’s great but there’s so many weird things wrong with it. I just wasn’t overall impressed.

I’m coming back after this patch though, as it seems to address everything that was annoying me.

Think I’m gonna start over, this time on the hardest difficulty, and actually focus on the game instead of drifting off to play others.

      1. Yeah give it another shot man. This is my first Witcher game and I can’t say enough how amazing it is. I’m probably right around where you were went you stopped playing it and I’m still enjoying it. Even pre-patch. Last night after work I just jumped on there and road around endlessly on my horse, enjoying the scenery, it’s quite astonishing.

  4. “Crafting and alchemy components no longer add to the overall inventory weight.”
    Oh thank god!
    “Various improvements to horse behavior.”
    Even bigger thank you!

Seriously F###face Roach, Me whistling doesn’t mean I am coming to you, you are supposed to come to me!

      1. I swear, I call him like for the umpteenth time, but nope he is too contempt just staring at the f#king ladies and barren fields.

        1. He starts having seizures if you try to turn when he is running too fast. He apparently has acute fear of small objects too, cause the guy just stops.

        2. You know it’s a horse and not a dirt bike? A horse wont turn in a instant and go though 10m of spiky bushes like nothing. It could be better but let’s not get unrealistic.

          1. Lol good luck with that I think he likes you a lot cause me I need to whistle him like 5 time to come hell I even go to him cause I lost my patients 🙂

    1. well after a month of release many companies says screw it we got enough money no need to waste more time updating/fixing it… and thats why their games are not great and we forget them after first playthrough…

  5. Not playing until this is out. When they will reach version 2 it will be game of the year after version 1 :P.

  6. “A new, alternative (optional) movement response mode for Geralt.”

If this is a throwback to TW1/2 movement, they have may have just fixed my biggest grievance with TW3. I figured this was a lost cause since it was pretty obvious the less responsive movement was intentional; for the combat mechanics, realism & smoother animations.

Edit: The next DLC includes an alternative Ciri outfit. A buggy version was accidentally released in certain regions on the PS4 & XB1.

    1. I hate jumpy, arcadey type movement in games like Bloodborne. It looks like crap and so unrealistic. I don’t care if it makes the character instantaneously respond, it’s unrealistic and looks bad. I always just adapt to short character animation times anyway.

    2. I hate jumpy, arcadey type movement in games like Bloodborne. It looks like sh*t and so unrealistic. I don’t care if it makes the character instantaneously respond, it’s unrealistic and looks bad. I always just adapt to short character animation times anyway.

    1. I think they are but it isn’t out yet and how many people would actually be playing the game with DX12? Not a top priority I’m sure, and it can’t be that easy to just make it work with DX12.

  7. Yes f*king finally!!! So glad they made crafting and alchemy materials weightless 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

  8. Great, it’s really annoying having a weight limit so I’m glad they relieved that a bit. My main gripe with the game is the levelling system, I keep finding armour and weapons that I can’t use yet. Level 13 and I’ve got manuscripts for 20-30 level equipment. I’m playing Risen 3 as well and I like it’s no weight limit and being able to use anything without a level to work to, just money and experience from learning off someone.

    1. Yeah they made it so that you really only have the best equipment by the end of the game. You barely get any xp from killing enemies and even little from side quests. I did every possible side quest out there but most of my levels came from doing the main quests. I guess they wanted to keep players engaged in the narrative which kind of does punish you in certain respects and it has it’s issues considering it’s open world. Anyway what I mean to say is that you’ll find yourself spending time getting the diagrams to the main witcher gear for the duration of the whole game so it’s best rather to just upgrade and use what’s currently available. I’m assuming you can only use the base gear and not the enhanced and above yet.

      1. Yeah I played like a dozens side quests etc and didn’t get a level, went to do some main quest and got like 2. To be fair you would be level 234 if all the quests gave that much xp.

  9. Very good patch, but still the game is very easy being everything low level, where is the second playthrough or new game plus? ala Borderlands.

    1. i dont have any stuttering issue in novigrad but some of the buildings keep disappearing which cause some annoying issues….

      1. yeah i don’t have that issue, lets do what @disqus_QlNT79OBCu:disqus & @SeanW1972:disqus said, maybe it helps

        1. Set frame cap to 60 as well helps with all that but it’s not stutter free, just better. I get horrible microstutter in Novigrad as well but not everywhere in the city.

        2. see any improvement?Set it to 512 then run around in novigrad.Tell me if u feel any difference.

    2. Same here, only place in the entire game where I experience stuttering irrespective of graphics settings.

    3. to fix it locate gc.ini.Find this line .Bin/config/base

Upper limit for amount of memory used by the objects that will automatically trigger the GC

      ObjectMemoryTrigger = 290

      Change 290 to 512

    4. also if you have Sli try go full screen instead of windowed (sometimes I noticed It changes by it self) and also change phis x to CPU, this worked for me, I was stuttering basically everywhere

  10. This game is absolutely massive, I have played it since release for over 200 hours and I’m not near the end. It actually has little too much side stuff as I keep playing for like 10 quests between some main questing and it get’s frustrating because the main story is so good and I want to play that.

  11. I cant believe they didn’t have a stash up until now. jesus. I was looking for it like crazy. I’m curious about “A new, alternative (optional) movement response mode for Geralt.”

  12. YES!!! addressed 2 of my 3 peeves with this game, inventory and movement. Now if they could revisit the combat and get rid of that skilless Batman-esque combat.

  13. Make the goddamn f’ing text bigger!! That’s all I’ve been asking them for since release.

  14. Game is garbage….i mean it’s ok but bugs and glitches ruined my experience with the game,i should have never bought it on the first day.

  15. “A new, alternative (optional) movement response mode for Geralt.” – meaning he walks like a zombie? That would be amazing.

  16. I assume the mutagens bug (which have to be reapplied each time you load a save) is still there, since it wasn’t mentioned. Let’s hope I’m wrong.

  17. Playing The Witcher 2, I can honestly say I wish some of those “fixes” were incorporated into The Witcher 2. Especially with regards to weight and Crafting/Alchemy.
