Bovine Defense Force Initiative. whats this?
It’s a funny description of the mechanics preventing XP farming on cows (you could kill them, meditate for 2 hours to make them respawn, kill them again etc.). After patch, doing this spawns a big monster (chort) willing to kill you. It works nicely… unless you are really strong (http://imgur.com/gallery/4GeKhGe).
Apparently there has been some kind of exploit, which now not fixed completly but remedied by putting trolls in areas with cows:

Probably something to do with an infinite money exploit that involved killing infinite cows for their hide or something like that.
A powerful monster appears when you try the cow exploit, very nice way of punishment lol, the monster can be killed however by the time you become capable of killing it, you probably won’t be using that exploit anymore.
damn they have been busy
Only uneasy thing I read on Neogaf that it seems they may have intentionally held back the PC patch until the PS4’s 1.04 released at the same time in some form of patch parity.
Very curious on that and definitely is a stupid move on their part if true.
I don’t know why they would do that, the first two patches came to PC first.
Neogaf = scam. In RED we trust!
I will try it out and come back 🙂
Hope is good!
PS: Hope isn’t as bad as 1.04 crappy 30 FPS we we shall see CDPR if you are the new Ubisoft or u are a little bit decent!
Comparing CDPR to Ubisoft just made you look stunted in the head. If that by chance was what you were going for… well then you did an amazing job. *claps*
i’m sorry Ubisoft is better by the recent events!
“Ubisoft is better” ……….ROFLMAO
at least better than those wierdo from CDPR when comes to recent PS4 ports W3,FC4,ACU
Ok. its enough for today!
AC unity?? man…..
yes it does run better a lot better check my YT channel Silviu Iulian!
also on Ultra settings!!!
Ultra isn’t really ultra in ACU and the foliage draw distance is awful. There is a massive difference between consoles and PC in TW3 on ultra, consoles don’t even draw foliage or shadows a quarter of what the PC version does.
I’ve got the Now or Never bug where Triss got stuck at the top of the stairs in the uneven house she stays. Had to load, run ahead of her and roll in her way to make her choose another path. Good that they fixed it.
UPDATE:
Lol with this update its running even worse than before !!!!!!!!!!!
19-22 FPS no hairworks/ssao wtaf!!!!!!!!!!!!
before 40-50 no hairworks/ssao
SCREW YOU CDPR*hit i hope everyone will pirate your games and die faster than everyone on the pcgaming industry “why u can’t make good games like recent R* titles?”
its true and official
CDPR its worse than Ubisoft!
Game version tested 1.05 ….
Maybe your system sucks?
Nope, just CDPR!
I’ve got a pretty stout PC, running dual GTX 780’s and an i5 3570K. Game ran beautiful before the patch for me. After the patch installed tonight? Crashes and freezes up non stop now.
Try deleting “user.settings” in your documents folder, The Witcher 3
Yeah mine has been crashing since 1.03, especially in Novigrad.
1.05 runs fine for me, I’ve had a gtx 660 and i can game at smooth framerate, it never dip below 30fps. What kind of system do you have anyway, you just keep spamming with nonsense comments and blaming CDPR but wont post your own specs.
BS ofc if u are using medium or high your frames will not dip!
anyone i move on!
f*uck you CDPR
i can’t belive how in Assassin’s Creed Unity.Watch Dogs i have at least 10.8x more Frames Per Second than this crap called Witcher 3!
Or Crysis 3 using 8x MSAA 1080p at least 10x better FPS.
CDPR i hope everyone will pirate your games.
I have one question, Silviu. What’s wrong with you…mentally?
We’re all wondering that
on last check i was “mentally” a lot better than those Ubisoft guys from CDPR.
I think you must have something seriously wrong when you claim both NVIDIA and CDPR intentionally cripple performance of certain GPUs. What makes it even worse is that people will continue to buy NVIDIA products and support a company that claimed is so bad.
Get informed, grow up and make a point instead of being a slave to such companies, move to AMD to make a point, I don’t care what you ‘think’ of AMD drivers.
i only claimed that CDPR crippled down the performance of certain GPU’s(mostly Kepler) and yes they did that .
i will never go back for AMD(lol) because i play a lot GTA V,BF4 and CS:GO where my GTX 680 have extreme performance in those titles beating in CS:GO the R9 290x easily so thats why my next GPU will be GTX 980Ti(high-end 4k) because i don’t want lower end GTX 970/80 meh!
Also you have Maxwell ofc its easy to say everything about Witcher Maxwell 3 and when i will get my next card(980Ti or Pascal) i will not do the same thing or act like you do braging on some people that suffer of how CDPR cripple down the performance on Kepler and then acting like a kid “i have this toy thats better” ONLY that toy it seems to be better “Maxwell” because CDPR marketing guys wanted to, so how about open your eyes and see the things as they are.
PS: Witcher 3 dosen’t look so so good as some CDPR fanboys are still claiming and they are imo worse than Ubisoft!
Your claim is worthless and stupid, BTW, Maxwell has much better tessellation performance than Kepler, AMD’s tessellation performance is worse so it doesn’t take a genius to work out that’s why Hairworks performs worse.
The fact is that Maxwell is better for such games, not your silly comments about NVIDIA and CDPR crippling performance. Also, did you know grass distance on ultra is almost as expensive as Hairworks?
You are the winner company slave!
all are marketing !
CDPR really mess it up with Kepler arhitecture and thats it accept it!
You’re funny man, developers crippling their own games. The moon is made of cheese didn’t you know?
CDPR fanboys…. and probably with a Maxwell GPU.
Very funny mate….not
Oh boy! oh boy! Ok. “Go plough yourself” kid!
Time to move to Maxwell, you know you want to.
ahahah
nice picture of PS4
turn off that hairworks
I’m getting the inventory crash again with this patch. I didn’t have it at all with 1.04.
Mine is working fine… 6 hours straight tonight and not a single crash. I had those crashes at the inventory the day of release, then after 1.02 patch, the game never failed on me again.
As a side note, first time at Skellige after 100 hours of gameplay (still have to do some missions and explore some things at the south east of the map at Novigrad/Velen)… this game is amazing! (107 hours now, did nothing at Skellige basically haha)
PS: Why my comment needs to be approved? …
My next card for Witcher 3 to play it decent and also i hope it will be lower than 1000$ because the stock version of GTX 980Ti cost 1100$ here in my country!
“SCREW YOU CDPR*hit i hope everyone will pirate your games and die faster than everyone on the pcgaming industry”
that was for cripple down performance on Kepler but i will play the game with a new card still it will be the last one of the games from CDPR that will be playing because their marketing strategy/PR with lowering performance on certain GPU’s its pretty bad and against PCgamers because let’s face it Witcher 3 its not Crysis “4” heck not even Crysis 3 !
Just keep convincing yourself that.
CDPR fanboy ofc u are blinded by their big hairworked ****k
Just keep on being bitter about your GTX 680, you’ll get over it when you start gloating about your GTX 980Ti and play TW3 again.
first games i will try with GTX 980Ti it will be Crysis 3+FXAA 1440p and GTA V 4K with advanced settings off .
Well good for you.
Omg Asus rock so hard!!!
yea bro them and EVGA !
i still have the DCII cooling with triple slot BEAST 27 idle and 55-62 full load.
and now with DCIII it will be EPIC!
SLI 970 still beat it! I wont recommend you to get it, just because it aint a real bullet proof 4k card!
That patch is amazing , i had max 35 fps with all medium on 1.04 and in 1.05 i have everything high and im sitting on 43 fps.
Really good for my pentium its amazing. Also its way more stable
NVM ….
Massive list of fixes, and they are still working on the ones that are still affecting some people. The will prolly be 2-3 more patches this month.
This is how you run a game company.
This patch introduced a bit unpleasant bug with making mutagens. You cannot make a mutagen or greater mutagen if you’ve already got one in the inventory. The workaround is to drop mutagens on the ground each time you create one and pick them up later.
