  1. “release for PC and PS4”. more and more of these indies are getting released for PS too. which is great. except when Sony decides to turn some into exclusives. which they already did with Everybody’s Gone to Rapture. in the end they will sell more on PC though doesn’t matter how hard they try. i am just glad Ethan Carter wasn’t PS4 exclusive…cause that’s probably the best indie walking simulator i played yet.

    1. Consoles are desperatly trying to compete with pc, they even got wasteland 2.

      They REALLY want that market.

But REMEMBER no ones cares about those indie pc crap according to sonytards.

      1. yea i know that’s why i said it will sell more on PC. console gamers are not indie friendly. not yet anyway. thanks to console exclusives doubt they will change any time soon. they are basically in it for high budget stuff.

          1. that is because you are a pc/console gamers and i am talking in general not exceptions. making exaggerations to make a point. otherwise there is always someone that goes against the tide.
let’s not kid ourselves. most buy consoles to play either Halo/Uncharted etc, or play their Fifa, Assassin’s Creed etc with ease. not indies. console gamers are mostly oblivious toward anything PC related for a long time. how long Witcher 2 was also on X360? yet how many you think just recently have gone for it thanks to Witcher 3? Witcher 2’s sale on PC also increased but it already sold a huge amount on PC(compared to it’s X360 version) to begin with. yet when Dark Souls 1 came out on PC, even with it’s problems, it got a very good reception on PC…better than what Witcher 2 on X360 got probably. the example i used is one of the reasons Microsoft paid for Witcher 3’s advertising to begin with. they know their audience.

          2. I concede that’s an accurate depiction of XBO owners, but PS fans have always gravitated toward more original experiences.

  2. I did not find amnesia or alien isolation to be scary.

Slender the arrival and cry of fear have been the only games that scared me due to their masterfull sound…..and jumpscares….also PT BUT WE DO NOT TALK ABOUT PT BECAUSE KONAMI IS STUPID!!

Anyway this looks like amnesia in space, no innovation, same gameplay mechanics and theme. Instead of corpses or pigs the monsters are now in robotic bodies. That is why they called it soma.

Like i said years ago it has a dead space art style. Similar industrial look with rusty corridors, orange lights and light blue colors on computers.

    1. i never find any movie or game to be scary but i don’t judge by their scare factor cause i don’t think technology is advanced that much yet. i judge them based on their atmosphere and that creepy feelings they can have. i didn’t play Amnesia but Alien Isolation nailed it with Alien’s atmosphere with current technology imo and unlike Evil Within it didn’t rely on blood and gore. opinions opinions.

      1. Evil within had good gameplay though, aliens was a crouch hide and seek simulator that dragon on forever with repetition, in evil within, you can explore find resources, upgrade (like deus ex) manage ammo and go through challenges, most of those “horror” games are “pick up key item, hide from the monster” from start to finish, i enjoyed evil within more than alien isolation, amnesia, outlast and all that. Cry of fear too.

These games need more gameplay, like i dont know…puzzles, like the old survival horror games.

        1. agreed. not talking about gameplay here. otherwise Alien Isolation was limited and overstayed it’s welcome in that regard. Alien Isolation to me, is just a high budget imitation of games like Outlast.

          1. for what is worth the level design in alien isolation was top notch, very immersive and detailed, but both outlast and alien isolation lacked interesting ideas, situations, levels, its just that alien isolation drag on forever with a tired concept that gets old after a few hours.

        2. the only problem with alien isolation it was too long i didnt finish it cause it was boring later on

          1. The problem with alien isolation is that it has a unteresting campaign and you crouch through the whole thing hiding from the aliens, after 10 hours you just cant take it anymore.

i would replay evil within or RE4 or even RE6 but not alien isolation, there is nothing to be gain from it, it would play exactly the same and combat/upgrade system practicly dont exist as a gameplay factor.

      1. believe it or not it was the game that started this boogeyman hide and seek “indie” games, amnesia was first but that one had more gameplay than just hiding 24/7

        1. I refuse to compare Amnesia with a boring keep running not looking behind boring game.
