It appears that a remastered edition of Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy will be released in a couple of days. Amazon has listed Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered with a January 29th release date, and shared a number of screenshots from it.
According to its description, Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered will be coming to PC and mobile devices, will use Steam as its DRM, will pack recreated textures in HD for mobile and desktop, as well as full controller support.
You can view the game’s key features below:
• High-definition Graphics — All of the in-game textures have been meticulously recreated in HD for mobile and desktop.
• Full Controller Support — Support for Sony and Microsoft controllers for desktop platforms.
• Live Graphics Comparison — Players can switch between the updated visuals and the original art assets with the touch of a button.
NeoGAF’s member ‘IamSuperman‘ has also provided some comparison screenshots between the game’s vanilla and remastered versions. Top images are from the vanilla game whereas bottom screens are from the remastered version .
Enjoy!
[UPDATE]
Thanks yo our reader ‘slayerming1’, the images from the remastered edition look suspiciously similar to those of the GOG version. Therefore we are marking this story as a rumour.

John is the founder and Editor in Chief at DSOGaming. He is a PC gaming fan and highly supports the modding and indie communities. Before creating DSOGaming, John worked on numerous gaming websites. While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”

I think what will decide if I buy this would be if more furniture attacks me with David Cage esque quicktime events.
Oh my, those screenshots are -not- helping…
So they added a SweetFX filter and called it a remaster.
Maybe those photos aren’t the real ones?
Look the same as these ones on gog http://www.gog.com/game/fahrenheit_indigo_prophecy
ah…so…which are the original and which are the HD ones?
Only slightly better textures and few more light sources doesn’t want to make me buy this game again.
This remaster would be good for those who have never played the game before but that’s it.
I don’t understand why they never do a real remaster edition ?
by that I mean why they don’t turn an old game to a completely new game, I’m pretty sure if they turned this remaster video game (for example) overall to a current gen/next gen video game it would sell a lot.
anyway this isn’t a remaster at all, I could make it much better with higher resolution & reshade (MasterEffect or Sweetfx).
the word remastered has lost its meaning
Why not give Omikron: The Nomad Soul a proper re-release? Quite rough around the edges but at least it was a proper game. And it had David Motherf*cking Bowie in it.
kids dont know who bowie is, wouldnt sell. they re-released this because they are riding on the whole “uncensored version was never released in America!” thing. screw video games, long live piracy.
“screw video games, long live piracy.”
This doesn’t even make sense :v
id argue that it looks worse….
Great game, though I wouldn’t call it remaster but simple update.
It was a very nice game back then but WTF is wrong with every Dev these days? They are not creative anymore and no able to come with anything else that is new and fresh or even try to make a game that is inspired by few other old games but no just add a fucking widescreen resolution and just put some glowing effects and lets call it a Remastered Fuckin’ Edition! I don’t see any more fuckin’ remastered games we’re living in 2015 you lazy dumb ass devs.
