Cloud Imperium has released two new in-game trailers for Star Citizen. The first trailer is dedicated to the game’s Arena Commander v1.0 mode that has been recently released, while the second one shows off some new features like MobiGlas user interface and jumpgates/wormholes. Enjoy and kudos to our reader Umair Khan for bringing them to our attention!

Dat Jump Gate footage.
That is a prototype on what they want them to look like … barely a WIP
I guess it’s kind of cool that they make you go through a minigame to go through hyperspace. But if they make it too hard, if you and your buddies hit hyperspace together to go on a mission the group could end up spread all over the place if they mess it up.
You’ll only be navigating through Jump Gate if you’ve discovered it before someone else. Then you can sell the coordinates to UEE if you want or keep it secret. Then it becomes a safe passage once you’ve discovered what lies on other side of it, as far as I know.
amazing
I installed the Arena Commander/ Hangar Module today. It was 20GB. It still unplayable for me. Runs like crap. It’s one room. ONE ROOM.
Your system specs?
Q9550 @3.4Ghz, GTX 670 OC’d.
I can run Crysis 3 with no problem, and that has entire levels, with AI and physics and weapons and things that happen.
The problem with the SC modules is that there’s no graphics options. I can’t get rid of motion blur, there may be tessellation and other crap that I can’t turn off, and no LOD optimizations, so the entire hangar and everything in it is pushed into memory at high resolutions. sigh*
My CPU’s not terrible (it can handle more than handle one room!), but that’s a good point about not optimizing because there’s little functionality. 🙂
The game is not optimized yet so obviously you need more powerful PC to run it.
Sorry but it is terrible and it is extremely old in the PC hardware world, you’re bottlenecking your GPU which isn’t that great as well.
And don’t make direct comparisons to other games even if they do run on the same engine, Crysis 3 uses an old version of CryEngine which doesn’t exist anymore.
Sorry man, but you’re just wrong. I’ve been using this CPU longer than you have, i know what it can and cannot do.
I don’t care about your personal anecdote, that CPU is 7 years old and you’re running it at stock speeds.
It’s garbage by today’s standards.
Wrong again, idiot.
As always, great rebuttal.
“You’re wrong because i said so”
Keep trollin’, brother

you get lower than 30fps?
Hehe – you know, we laugh at that now, but one day phones will be powerful enough to run this 🙂
It’s not optimized or anything, there arent even actual graphical settings.
Best Space Game Ever 😀 Now im waiting for 2x ships for my hangar from AMD Games Evolved 😀
And it will be 95% for DX12 and Matle is already there 😀
I was a whole lot more interested when it wasn’t meant to be online.
You are confusing it with Elite: Dangerous. You can still run Star Citizen on your private server and its SP Campaign, doesn’t force you to connect to internet. Hell, it even supports LAN for co-op play. It was ED that removed offline mode few weeks before the release.
Guess where this is also going forward to? I know it still says it has Single player campaign, but in no time it will be announced that the story will be infused into the multi-player and you will “enjoy” all of it with your friends….. and so on…. it wasn’t even supposed to have a multi-player system to begin, by the time it ends, you’ll probably have to buy ships for real money. (It may be the skeptic in me speaking, but “he’s” more right than wrong…. by a large difference).
Merely pessimistic speculation on your part.
The single player is being developed by an entirely separate internal team made up of writers, voice actors, and mocap.
I really hope you’re right.
The multi player is the biggest aspect of this game and it was planned from the beginning of this project so maybe you’re mixing your games up.
