Tom Clancy’s The Division – New Screenshot Surfaces

Ubisoft has just released a new screenshot for Tom Clancy’s The Division. Yes, it looks good but what worries me at this point is that since the game’s debut, Ubisoft has been really silent about it. Sure thing, we’ve been getting screenshots from the  environment that was initially unveiled, but we haven’t gotten any brand new information about it. The Division is planned for a 2014 release but I’m pretty sure that it will get delayed to 2015 given Ubisoft’s current stance. Enjoy!

  1. The 2 guys on the other building want this mans beans, but this man ain’t giving up his beans. Let the battle commence!

  2. Not even 720p? I would expect every screenshot today to be at least 1080p, maybe even 4K for show.

    1. Probably developers do that because they don’t want to start doubts in people. In a medium resolution picture you can see the graphical effects, a glimpse of the textures and visual style.

While in high resolution picture you can see everything, all the inconsistencies, the texture detail, all the effects quality. Everyone knows that people, who are interested, will take more attention to the very first of the screenshot from a game. So a high res picture could ruin the interest of a game.

      1. The game looks really good and they can put 1000x AA for the screenshots if they want so.. Maybe at least 720p please.

        1. I agree, but then the screen shot would be manipulated. I think these small screenshots make you more curious about the game. I can’t only guess why they didn’t post a high res screen, but most developers do that at first, it must be some kind of tactic

          1. Well this is coming to PC and you can put basically any AA to a PC game or even render it in 4K and downscale it to 1080p. It wouldn’t be cheating unless they claimed it was a straight screenshot from a console version.

      1. If they want, they can make a perfect screenshot (with AA and everything to max) from their editor or what not, its not like they need a powerful PC (its just one frame). Still, this is most likely The Division with maxed out graphics details/settings on PC (just a lower resolution).

For example, look at Project CARS screenshots (real ingame shot by gamers, maxed out and 1920x 1080) but some screenshots are in lower resolution.

  3. it is not and never was planned for a 2014 release. I don’t where everyone got this from but it will be released in 2015

    1. They said it at E3 last year. But it has seemingly been pushed back according to Ubisofts financial estimates.
