The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Remastered feature

The Witcher 3 Remastered Patch 5.01 Released & Detailed

CD Projekt RED has just released Title Update 5.01 for The Witcher 3 Remastered and shared its full patch notes. So, let’s see what this new patch brings to the table.

The update fixes several gameplay bugs. Auto-applied Blade Oils now work after restarting the game. Boats should no longer move on their own or ignore collisions. Geralt also gets better ladder animations. Other fixes improve dodging, stamina use, Aard finishers, bombs, and Vesemir’s voice lines.

Patch 5.01 also fixes two skill issues. The Synergy skill now shows the right bonus. The Exploding Shield skill now reflects damage back at enemies.

Several UI bugs are fixed too. Ability point alerts should no longer get stuck. Input hints should not flash during meditation. The Potions tutorial should now appear when needed. Some progress bars have also been moved to the right spots.

PC players get a few extra fixes. GTAO Quality should now keep its setting after a restart. Dynamic Resolution Scaling should show the right value. The game should also stop enabling graphics options that a GPU cannot use. DLSS and XeSS should no longer be enabled on unsupported GPUs. Dynamic Resolution Scaling is now off by default. The game should also pick the right GPU more often.

It’s also worth noting that Patch 5.01 improves Bloom, tone mapping, character lighting, Ray Tracing, and Path Tracing. It fixes foliage collision, some save file issues, and visual problems caused by Dynamic Resolution Scaling.

As always, Steam and GOG will download this update the next time you launch their clients. Below, you can also find its full patch notes.
