The Blood of Dawnwalker feature-2

The Blood of Dawnwalker Hotfix Update 1.0.5 Available for Download

Rebel Wolves has released Hotfix 1.0.4 for The Blood of Dawnwalker. According to the devs, this hotfix comes with improvements to the shader compilation pipeline. This can help fix the stuttering issues for some users.

As I’ve said before, the game suffers from major camera stuttering issues. So, you know what? I went ahead and tried this update. Does it fix the stutters I’ve reported?

Nope, it does not. On both the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 with the latest drivers, there are still the camera stutters I showcased in my video.

Truth be told, I have not yet tested any AMD Radeon GPU. I’ll be really surprised if these camera stutters are an NVIDIA issue. But when I test our AMD GPUs tomorrow, I’ll be sure to update this article if they do not occur on them.

Apart from the shader compilation improvements, this hotfix does not do anything else. So, don’t expect much from it. We also don’t know when the developers will release the first major patch.

Rebel Wolves has also announced that the game has sold over one million copies. As such, the game is considered a commercial hit. So, let’s hope that we’ll get a major update sooner rather than later.

As always, Steam will download this latest hotfix the next time you launch its client. For those wondering, Hotfix 1.0.5 is 2.1GB in size.

Finally, I know that our PC Performance Analysis article has been delayed. Lately, I’ve been busy with a lot of things. That’s no excuse. I’ve dropped the ball on this one. Hopefully, our article will go live tomorrow.

Stay tuned for more!
