Bandai Namco Removed Denuvo From Digimon Story Time Stranger

Bandai Namco has removed the Denuvo anti-tamper tech from Digimon Story Time Stranger. Digimon Story Time Stranger was released on PC in September 2025. This means that it took 9-10 months for the publisher to remove it.

Digimon Story Time Stranger is an RPG where you solve a big mystery that takes place in both the real world and the Digital World. You will collect, raise, and train many different Digimon to help save both worlds. The game uses turn-based battles, where you and your Digimon take turns fighting enemies.

From what I know, the game uses a custom engine from Media.Vision. Since I haven’t tested it, I don’t know whether it suffered from any performance issues or stutters. Looking at its Steam page, the game has Very Positive reviews. There is also a demo you can download and try. So, if you are a Digimon fan, you should give it a go.

Digimon Story Time Stranger is not the only game from Bandai Namco that no longer has Denuvo. The publisher has also removed it from Tekken 7 and NARUTO TO BORUTO: SHINOBI STRIKER.

Bandai Namco is not the only publisher that has removed Denuvo from its latest PC release. Take, for instance, Square Enix. SE has removed it from DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake.
