NVIDIA GeForce Hotfix Driver 610.52 Released, Fixing G-Sync Stutters & Smooth Motion Crashes

NVIDIA has released a new hotfix driver for its graphics cards, the GeForce Hotfix Driver 610.52. According to the release notes, this update fixes the two issues we reported earlier this month. So, if you want to use the latest GeForce driver, this hotfix is the version to download.

As I said, the NVIDIA GeForce Hotfix Driver 610.52 fixes two major issues. First, it fixes the stuttering and frame pacing problems that some users experienced when using G-SYNC on certain monitors. Second, it fixes crashes that could happen when Smooth Motion was enabled in some games. This means that G-SYNC and Smooth Motion should now work properly without causing these problems.

Moreover, the NVIDIA GeForce Hotfix Driver 610.52 fixes a problem that caused some monitors to be detected as “NVIDIA NV-Failsafe”. Another fix addresses an issue where certain monitors would not wake up after entering sleep mode. The driver also includes general stability improvements to help prevent problems when the system cannot create a new memory allocation.

Finally, this new hotfix driver improves gaming stability in multi-monitor configurations when using V-SYNC with DLSS Frame Generation. It also improves overall stability in World of Warcraft. So, if you’re currently playing this MMO, you might want to upgrade to this latest driver.
