Lyrical Games has announced that its first-person action Souls-like game, Valor Mortis, will be released on September 24. To celebrate this announcement, the publisher has also shared a new trailer, as well as a PC demo that you can download from Steam.
In Valor Mortis, you play as a soldier from Napoleon’s army who has come back from the dead. You now have supernatural powers. You will use these powers to fight scary monsters and uncover a dark plan that could put all of humanity in danger.
The game’s combat lets you block attacks, dodge quickly, and finish enemies with strong finishing moves. You can also power up your attacks and unlock new supernatural skills to use in battle. Fast movement will help you outsmart the plague-infected soldiers of Napoleon’s Eternal Guard. You will also explore the world to find hidden secrets that can help you survive longer.
Valor Mortis tells a strong story that mixes real history with horror and supernatural events. Players will travel through dark and dangerous places. They will try to uncover the truth about a deadly plague and the mystery of why they came back from the dead.
Those interested can download the PC demo from here. For what it’s worth, the devs have not yet shared the game’s PC requirements. From what I know, Valor Mortis is built with Unreal Engine 5. It should also support Nanite and Lumen.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
