VGC has shared a video, showcasing 11 minutes of brand new gameplay footage from Control Resonant. This video features some exploration and combat sequences, so it will give you an idea of how this new Control game plays.
In Control Resonant, players take on the role of Dylan Faden. As Dylan, they will explore large areas of a city that has been taken over by the Hiss, the Mold, and other dangerous supernatural threats.
Players will learn more about the people and strange beings living in the ruined streets of Manhattan. They will help Dylan discover who he really is, uncover the secrets of the FBC, and face the terrifying threats that could endanger all of humanity.
Control Resonant will feature a deep progression system that helps Dylan grow stronger and deal with new dangers. Along the way, players will build important relationships and help Dylan hold on to his humanity as he transforms from a former test subject into a powerful paranatural weapon.
Instead of focusing on guns, Control Resonant is built around close-range combat. Players can use the environment, unleash elemental powers, and fight with Dylan’s shape-shifting weapon, the Aberrant.
The Aberrant can change its form at any time. One moment, it can become a massive two-handed hammer that delivers powerful hits. The next, it can transform into a pair of fast blades for quick and precise attacks. This allows players to switch fighting styles on the fly and adapt to different enemies and situations.
Remedy has also shared the game’s official PC system requirements. To run it, PC gamers will at least need an Intel i5-8500 or AMD equivalent with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or an AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT. The game will also require 100GB of free disk space.
The devs recommend using an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel equivalent with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 or an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT.
Remedy stated that it will share more detailed PC specs in the future. My guess is that those PC specs will also confirm the presence of Path Tracing. Or at least that’s my guess.
Control Resonant is coming to PC on September 24.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
