It appears that Team17 is currently working on an unannounced Worms game. Not only that, but a video has been leaked online, showing 5 minutes of gameplay footage from it. So, if you are a big Worms fan, I highly suggest watching it.
Unfortunately, I don’t know much about this new Worms game. I don’t know when Team17 will announce it or when it will come out. So, there is nothing more to share right now.
To my surprise, this leaked gameplay footage looks pretty polished. This doesn’t appear to be from an alpha or an early development build. Instead, we’re most likely looking at a beta game that might come out soon on Steam Early Access.
The game’s visuals appear to be similar to those of Worms 3D. As for the gameplay, it feels more like a turn-based tiled game, similar to XCOM. To be honest, I don’t really mind this change. Right now, the gameplay feels good. At least in my opinion. So, the devs should focus on adding new and crazy content to it.
Since this is a leaked video, I recommend watching it while it’s still available. My guess is that Team17 will take it down soon. So, if you want to preserve it, make sure to download it and create mirrors.
