Samson feature

Samson and The Vernyhorn will have Ray Tracing on PC

NVIDIA has announced that both Samson and The Vernyhorn will support Ray Tracing and DLSS 4.5 on PC when they launch. To celebrate this announcement, the green team shared a new trailer for both of them that you can find below.

Samson is a story-driven third-person action adventure game. Players will uncover what broke Samson’s family and what it takes to fix it before time runs out. The game aims to offer an open-world area, allowing you to move through hostile blocks, hidden corners, and the history that built Samson’s past. Moreover, the city will evolve in time. Faces, factions, and streets will change as you rise or fall.

Players will be able to build their strength in both brawling and weaponized driving. They can also use momentum, terrain, and improvised tools to break their enemies quickly. Not only that, but you will be able to use your car as a weapon. Chases will turn into collisions, traps, and close-quarters destruction.

On the other hand, The Vernyhorn is a third-person open-world RPG inspired by classic role-playing roots. In this game, you will follow a man haunted by his past as he faces his inner demons in a world shaped by faith, fear, and survival.

Both Samson and The Vernyhorn will be using Unreal Engine 5. So, my guess is that the Ray Tracing setting will enable Hardware Lumen. Or at least that’s what the RT option did to some older UE5 games.

I should also note that Samson suffers from major stuttering issues in this trailer. Seriously, this is a stutter-fest. NVIDIA has tried to hide the stutters with some quick cuts, but you can easily spot them. These stutters occur while driving or walking. So, I hope to God Liquid Swords does something to address them. Otherwise, this will be MindsEye 2.0.

Stay tuned for more!
